  • The Seattle Department of Neighborhoods' P-Patch Community Gardening Program oversees 89 P-Patches throughout the city. P-Patches are community gardens where neighbors come together to grow both food and community. Community gardeners around the city grow food on 14.9 acres of land and provide stewardship for an additional 18.8 acres. In addition to harnessing the land and learning about agriculture, the spaces provide an opportunity for neighbors to gather and strengthen networks through cooperative ventures. Each P-Patch is unique and serves as a source of pride for gardeners and the neighborhood as a whole.
NOTE: Portions of this video were filmed prior to COVID-19. For recent filming, crews and participants followed all health and safety guidance. At the City and in our P-Patches, we continue to follow guidance from our partners at Public Health - Seattle & King County (PHSKC), Washington State Department of Health (DOH), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
