“Be Our Guest” is a song composed by Alan Menken for Walt Disney animation Beauty And The Beast in 1991. In the animation this song is sung by Lumière and Mrs. Potts. Lumière is voiced over by American actor Jerry Orbach and Mrs. Potts is voiced over by English actress Angela Lansbury.
“Be Our Guest” is an up-tempo Broadway and cabaret-style song performed in a large scale musical number by Lumière & Mrs. Potts together with the castle’s staffs of enchanted servants to Belle in an attempt to make her feel welcome despite this action was against the Beast’s orders.
For the Electone cover, this song has a fast tempo and need to play with a happy light-hearted feel. Hence the touch should be light and bouncy, adhering to staccato notes and phrasing. If these criterias are not being met, the song will lose its catchiness, in my opinion.
