    I personally feel , this video is very good , I watch all the videos and I really appreciate this initiative. After watching this video, I would highly recommend to add "Deferred Annuity" in your financial planning , Dr. Chadrakanth has already suggested it earlier I am reiterating because of interest rate , Annuities are one of the best option which is guaranteed income where percentage is not written but an actual amount is written in the document/policy, what you are going to get as pension after certain period or immediately (Deferred or Immediate annuity). Very aptly said for NRI , one should decide where to retire , it is very crucial.

    • @natarajanravi6973
      @natarajanravi6973 Před 2 lety

      Mr. Viral Dave: Annuity is good, although current yields are 5.5 - 6.5 ℅. With declining interest rates from bank & GOI small savings schemes it will be a good investment idea. Differed annuity and return of capital to nominee are best choices for senior citizens. We can make investment in annuity at periodic intervals as age progresses. Consult your financial planner for sound advice,
      Not run away by night brokers.

    • @ViralDave_26
      @ViralDave_26 Před 2 lety

      @@natarajanravi6973 I agree , I no where mentioned that ONLY annuity is the best option , no where I mentioned that other avenues are NOT worth exploring. Annuity is just one of the critical items in entire portfolio that is what I meant to say.

    Great suggestions. Main expense will health care related after retirement. Also don’t forget inflation is going to kill your savings particularly in India. Stay healthy.

    • @ST-ju6qu
      @ST-ju6qu Před 2 lety

      Very wisely said. In India you don't have any support from the Government even though you have been paying taxes all your working life. The present manner in which our country is progressing shows a very dismal picture. Inflation is on the rise and taxes are on the increase. All these factors will kill your savings.
      Additionally the medical bills are over inflated and the Medical community here is hell bent on overcharging and cheating you.
      These factors make me feel very insecure...helpless and TOTALLY at the mercy of this inexperienced and corrupt Government.

    Medical insurance from employer mostly ceases on retirement. Buy a cover atleast 5 years before retiring. Cover all pre existing diseases. In consultation with your financial planner decide a proper allocation of fixed income securities and mutual funds. Prepare a will and have it notorized. Prepare an estate plan detailing all assets to facilitate claims. Cut wasteful expenses and prepare a proper budget. Allocate adequate money for various goals like children's education, marriage etc if it is not accomplished. Retirement calculators are only indicators, every individual requires a tailor made plans.

  • @sridharvenkataseshan4980

    Your clips on retirement are very good and informative and also more practical. But, regarding Health Insurance in India being NRI outside India requires more ground level details. For example; we can’t top up health insurance received from our employer in Middle East. Presume you’re advising us to take a separate Indian Health Insurance Policy in addition to employer provided Insurance policy in Middle East.
