I just received the same car but in the "basic" version (dark grey color). To my surprise it actually seems to have all the same metal parts (or atleast aluminium parts) as shown here only with a silver color instead of gold. That is except for the center driveshafts, they are not metal but plastic. Might order the metal ones, they do look alot nicer. Diffs are permanently locked on the basic model. Oh and maybe they learned from your video, on mine the windows are clear out of the box. Good idea on the lights. Definatly need to do that on mine as well. Thanks for the detailed video!

That's one sweet looking truck, bit heavy on the price for me but with all it comes with it needs no upgrades
I lo ve the rear cage for the trap I'd have the tarp half on and roll the rest up but thats just me and thanks for the paint removal tip as I hate window stickers VS the clear windows but I've never had luck removing the paint under the decals

@@Matteomeier Another thought: I really like your method for creating an interior. I have not verified; however, it seems less expensive then the method of purchasing a lexan interior which I have done several times. One ends up wasting so much lexan. A few questions:
1. You use "strong tape". Is that a version of duct tape or some other product? What type of tape is it?
2. Does the Tamiya drive figure kit you use have the elements to create the "dashboard" or is that something you scratch build?

Na das ist aber ein ziemlicher Exot in deiner Sammlung! ich fahr den Amewi jetzt ca seit einem Jahr und bin sehr zu frieden mit der robusten Technik,außer halt das übliche RTR Lenkservo das einfach unterdimensioniert ist wie bei allen RTR Fahrzeugen.Die Geländetauglichkeit brauch sich nicht hinter den üblichen Traxxas und Axial zu verstecken. Mein einziger Defekt ein gebrochener Querstift in der vorderen rechten Antribswelle ,konnte ich mit einem auf ca 11mm gekürzten 1,5mm HSS Bohrer beheben.Sehr schön der Trick mit dem Edding und das interieur top! Bin gespannt auf deine wunderbaren Fahraufnahmen!

Btw. the 6. Chanel isn't a normal Chanel, the Receiver has an integreated "Switch" so you can use it to turn an LED Set on and off without having to buy a separate Switch for a Servo Chanel or leave it on all the time!
I have the same Truck but in white, i have upgraded mine with a Hobbywing Quicrun 1800KV Brushless 2in1, Steel driveshafts, bigger RC4WD Wheels and a 15mm Body Lift. I've also tryed out the RCX8P that a Friend of mine has, it's just as cool but bigger!

@@xtrmbeast mine is still fresh and running well, i've upgraded the Motor to a Hobbywing 1800KV Fusion Combo. Only thing i've broken was one small Plastic piece that cost 2.- to replace (100+ charges driven).
About as dureable as a TRX4 imo. I'd buy it again :D i've got 5 Friends running those now

Nice rig. Technical I like the seperate switchable diff locks. Hope you made a running video. The damper servo saver is an interesting solution. I want to see if it works properly or backfires in some crawling situations. You've done very good improvements. The car looks much scaler now. 👍👍👍

Nice Vid Matteo - that truck looks real good with the matte olive paint. What I only dislike are those gold and goofy beadlock rings! I would change that with black steel beadlock wheels ;-)

Super unboxing Video, und die Tipps für die Karo 👌. Viel Spass mit dem RCX10P, macht echt Spass das Teil und muss sich technisch hinter keinem TRX-4 verstecken. Mit etwas Gewicht in den vorderen Räder kennt der kaum Grenzen.

Too many comments, I know, but I can't leave without saying how much I like the way you fade the music up and down depending on whether you are speaking or not. Did you do that manually or does your software do that automatically for you? Manually can be a lot of work.

Thank you! I can recommend dampers from Gmade, the best in my opinion. For more weight I recommend using heavier wheels or weights inside the wheels. 😊

Danke Stefan! Das hängt sehr davon ab ob du lieber selber baust oder ein fix fertiges Fahrzeug aus der Box nimmst. Der Bau macht eine menge Spass, aber braucht auch Zeit und alle zusätzlichen Komponenten. Dafür kannst du alles so konfigurieren und bauen wie du möchtest. Das ist aber auch teurer. Grundsätzlich sind aber beides sehr gute Fahrzeuge! 👍👍😊

Thanks! Yes, basically this method works also with Traxxas TRX models. But it's more difficult to remove a few coats if ink as only a matte varnish. That's why I used another method on my TRX 4: czcams.com/video/Mhz_Bcs8aTo/video.html

Hi Matteo, did you plug your light kit into the receiver? I plugged mine into a spare receiver channel and the motor, battery and esc heated up and drained 2 batteries quickly. I unplugged it and now its fine. I am using nimh batteries so perhaps thats why?
Also, there are some light buckets in the bull bar for fog lights which is pretty cool.
No, I connect the lights directly to the battery plug. This works perfect.

Hi Matteo, thanks for this great video. With all your experience what would you suggest? This Amewi RCX10 (or 8) or a Traxxas TRX4 Sport Landrover? Or... There are so many options nowadays. I like a scale body and transmission and a really good esc for slow driving. Out of all your trucks what is your favorite? Grüezi, Paul
Do you prefer RTR or a kit? If you like a RTR you get more for the money with this RCX10 than with TRX-4 Sport. If you like a kit you can also consider about a Gmade Buffalo or MST J45C or JP1

Both are great trucks, if you like to build a kit, I recommend the Buffalo. But if you prefer a RTR truck the RCX10 is a good choice. 👍

You can buy it in Europe on many online RC stores, in the US it's not available yet.
Und ich habe vor 1/2 Jahr mehr Geld ausgegeben für einen Axial SCX10 II. Da kam das Kit schon so viel wie der Amewi als RTR Modell kostet ;-) . Muss aber dazu sagen ich wollte auch unbedingt einen Bausatz haben. Da ich Modelle gerne selber aufbaue und meine eigene Elektronik aussuchen möchte. Aber muss sagen der Amewi macht einen guten eintrug und ist P/L verhältnis in ordnung. Und auch gut für Einsteiger in sachen Crawler und dennoch anständige Qualität. Und er bietet mehr als mein Axial. Denn ich habe kein 2. Ganggetriebe und keine zuschaltbaren Diffs. Dafür muss ich extra noch Geld hinlegen, zumindestens für 2. Gang.
Genau. Es macht natürlich schon Spass das Modell selber aufzubauen, so kann man auch alles nach seinen eigenen Wünschen aufbauen und gestalten. Ich mag das auch sehr. Manchmal machte aber auch Spass das Ding aus der Kiste zu nehmen und loszufahren! 😊😊
@@Matteomeier Ja das stimmt, manchmal ist es auch schön es nur auszupacken, Akkus rein und spass haben. Kommt auch starkt auf das Modell an. Bei einem Basher oder Onroad Modell, bevorzuge ich es auch. Aber wenn man viel Wert auf Optik legt, dann ist ein Kit immer die beste wahl ;-) Da wie Du schon erwähnt hast, man dann alles an seinen Perönlichen geschmack anpassen kann beim zusammenbau.
Falls(!!) Man(n) den Nagellackentferner seiner liebsten ausborgt, sollte der dann am besten acetonfrei sein, damit die Karosserie nicht trübe oder "blind" wird ?
Bin nicht sicher ob Aceton das Lexan trübe macht, glaub eher nicht. Aber ein Test auf einem Abfallstück wäre sicher empfehlenswert. 👍😊
