    I've been out in exactly this Carrera T in white on Zandvoort yesterday. Thank you Porsche Benelux for that. Car is superb, as was the driver that took me around the track. Believe me, you don't need more than a T. Great video.

      @@thekrazyasian But went back to a manual for the T and am glad I did. That and the rear wheel drive make it feel a bit more raw. Do love the 3.8 NA engine of the 4S though. Basically a win, win either one.

    Great review.
    Carrera T is certainly a spot on in the line up just i wish Porsche make it more special, I'd really love to see it fitted with NA engine, they should use 718 GT4/GTS unit.

      Yes, the thirst for something extra special is something customers often thrive for in cars. N/A - engine would be the peak, but I think it has the rest on this one. Maybe the sticker/stripe on the side should be removed 😉. Thanks for watching 🙏🌞

    When you put the car in sport you can reduce the display down to just the essentials you need to see which fits easily between the arms of the steering wheel. This was an additional setting porsche added to the 2022 models in response to the complaints of the wheel blocking the outer screens. Always check with someone that actually owns the car before posting a criticism that is not valid.

      It was also interesting when the “lightweight glass” was mentioned I regard to allowing more “sound”(?) into the car…..
      Check your configurator, young man…….you might be surprised as to what it actually does !
      I agree, when you evaluate a vehicle, it might be your first impression, but you just might be getting reviewed yourself by someone that drives one daily !!

    Many do an ECU tune/remap and get upwards of 450HP out of that engine...lol

    Lovely thing with manual box and might as well have the free back seats.
    If it's only for weekends and a few tours I think a nice 991 or even 997 would be every bit as enjoyable to own and more affordable.

    My 2024 T is coming in June, really looking forward to it. I specc'ed it in Gentian Blue with buckets seats, rear seat delete, manual (of course), the carbon fiber roof and other smaller options. I had a 991.2 Carrera T before and am now looking forward for the 992.

      Yes, the 992 has become a big car. Comparing it to the earlier generations it looks hugh sometimes. Still, a classy looking car and it just becomes more and more capable for each new gen. Congratulations to your 997.2 GTS, stunning car and a looker as well. Thanks for watching 🙏

    It seems to me that you have pinpointed the goal intended by the Porsche engineers with this Carrera T. To provide the driver with the basics which are the soul (or DNA) of a 911, whatever the generation. A great choice 😎

    I'm not really sure why anyone would want this car over the base Carrera or for a little more money the S. If only to have a "more race" version of the base model? I mean this is a STREET car which means the owner will likely want to drive it more than once a week...which means to me that he should want the sound isolation e.g. C2S and i guess the base Carrera. Is the T the exact car as the "base"? but "lighter"?
    Now if it was a naturally aspirated "affordable" Carrera car then I'd understand it's place in the line up. Porsche SHOULD put out a naturally aspirated Carrera. IF they can put out the GT3 then why not a NA Carrera??
    IMHO the C2S is the "best 911" to own and is more than "enough 911" for 99 percent of buyers (most of which have no road race competition expereince...only "street driving" backgrounds)....no point in getting anyting faster than a C2S...haall the feature a driver REALLY needs.

      Like your points, and I agree with you on many of them . This one for example also adds lower suspension and the rear wheel steering. All this together with a manual gearbox, lighter setup with less isolation etc is creating just another "special" model in the Porsche segment that some customers wants and also won't hesitate to pay for. Pts, paint to sample is also available. Porsche listens carefully to their customers. I think it's a good and very driver focused car with plenty performance and handling to make it a bit special. But I also, would choose a bit more isolation and go for a base Carrera. The extra weight etc. doesn't bother me, because it isn't that significant for road use. But, there is always a choice 😉.     I drove a a T, C2S and Boxster GTS at a Porsche track day. The T is nice, of course the C2S had more punch out of the corners and speed down the straights. There wasn’t a standard C2 there to compare to the T. The Boxster GTS was the most fun to drive.

      Yes, on track all Porsches are splendid, even the their SUV's and Panameras. But of course a C2S is perfect in power, 450 hp gets you a long way. The T can feel a little weaker there but it's more meant for the twisty country roads were that less power output and comes in hand in a more down settled manner. Even though it's still fast it feels a lot more manageable to use. But more power is always fun, so there are great options in the lineup. I also adore the Cayman and Boxster, very planted cars on track. Thanks for sharing and for watching 🙏🌞

    I’ll take a manual over PDK every day, after owning several of each.
    The PDK feels like a blunt instrument and robs the car of the finer points of finesse!
    They are great at two things. FLAT OUT SPEED, and dead slow in traffic.
    The entire rest of the driving envelope (especially road driving between 3 and 7 tenths) is better enjoyed with the tactile subtleties of the manual. I can do a better job than the PDK in those area, without the fake drama jerky sport+ changes and the slight clutch drag on down shifts. That drag is small, but SO grating, when the manual Rev match is perfect and heal and toe have been in my tool box of skills for 30 years. Both great, but one is for traffic jams and lap times only in my opinion.

      You are very correct in many ways. But my biggest thirst is always track driving effectiveness. And the PDK are just miles ahead in that area even though a manual is great fun there as well. But on the roads, manual is sure a go to choice, but not for me, I still like the PDK a bit more. Thanks for great inputs and for watching 🙏🌞

      A little more punch in the S ofcourse but the real thing about these cars are how they handle and for most B-roads and smaller, more curvy roads with the rear wheel steering added to the T with its just perfect amount of power, I just think that one is right. But, if the thirst for a little more power, then the S which is also a little more quiet thanks to slight more isolation. Tough decission. Thanks for watching and try them both out before you buy, If you can 🙏🙏✌️✌️🤩🤩

    Another question in normal mode is the ride quality equal to Carrera base model in sports mode
    Because in India our roads are bad and the expansion joints in the bridges feel badly
    Can you compare the ride quality with any other car and say

    Ya, I think $3000/month is a bit much, $1500 is too little. $2400ish is just right. 😅
    Cool cars though. Hope they sell tons...
    Don't know why the S model can't be had in manual anymore.... but the T with 379 hp & headroom to tune is definitely not slow.

    How is the ride quality here in bumpy roads is it manageable or too hard

      Its fairly ok, but on bumpy roads you do feel the vibrations hit through in a sportscar way. It's lower suspension of 10 mm also enhances some of that but in normal on better roads it feels allright. But then again, soundproofing has been removed and lighter glass installed, it makes a bit more overall noise, which is just lovely in this car. Your best of with a normal Carrera base model by not choosing so big tyre dimensions. Thanks for watching 🙏🌞

      It comes like that. All about saving weight. But as I mentioned, I would put these back in place. No extra charge. The manual is fun but adding the PDK is also without extra charge. Thanks for watching 🙏🌞

      The “touring” does not refer to a street touring, softened experience. The touring was created as a lightweight homogenized race version back in the late 60’s.

      @@whatcarwhattime Great review! Really nice footage and excellent overview of the Carrera T. I take delivery of mine next month from LA PEC and I opted to add back in the back seat, for what it's worth. But went with the manual - 80 pounds savings over the PDK. Also, the 4-way adjustable seats vs the 18-ways saved another 35 pounds. Plus, Carbon roof. 👍

    Its not particularly light - its nowhere near as good as something like the Cayman GTS 4L. It has a twin turbo engine that lacks personality and unless it has rear axle steering its not particularly agile.

      Different categories. But if you are looking for a Carrera, and don't want to battle the super high performing ones, then this is a great step in. This one had the rear axle steering ( didn't get that info until after the review, but I did put it in text). That really makes it wonderful. I think the T just makes it a sweet spot 911, just enough to be pushing around your favourite roads 😀. Thanks for watching and will try out the Cayman GTS. The GT4 was marvelous 🌞

      VK6AB, I doubt you have driven both cars to come to that conclusion. I have a Boxster GTS 4.0 manual transmission, and absolutely love it…. with the top down. Hate driving it with the top up, so I’m looking at both the Cayman 4.0 and the 911 T for when I would want the top up. Definitely not selling the Boxster. Both are very compelling, and I can’t test drive either one at any Porsche dealer around me.

      @@jdhillon787 The 992 T is heavier than the Cayman 4L GTS. I own a Cayman GTS, a 991.2 GT3 RS and have owned a multitude of 911s (inc 2 with the 3L twin turbo). Plus 5 seasons of Carrera Cup. If you don't have rear axle steering on a 911, its a relatively poor performer self evident in track times and slalom tests. I would take any 718 4L GTS over any current 992 911 excluding GT dept. cars. The 911 T is only a compelling proposition for the budget conscious and those that want to pretend they have a GT3 (which its nothing like).

    The driver is sitting too close to the controls, the angle of his elbow is too acute. What's going on with his lower limbs to the pedals? Go back to your driving instructor.

      Since making this comment I've gone into my car, Toyota Aygo, and changed the seat positions and registered differences. Outcome, get your arms at correct angle, leg length corrects at the pedals. It will all be easy after@@whatcarwhattime

      I've driven all, not in a review in this new channel. GTS is fantastic, the GT3 touring I like even better and the Turbo and Turbo S is brilliant and rather comfy compared to the gt3-models. But the thing is, they all have their specific place, style and performance and what even though I always liked the GTS , I still think it's not that much extra of a thrill unlike the GT3 and the Turbo-models. But the power in these are a bit to much for the public roads. And this one, not as pricy as the GTS and that lower power output delivers a lovely powerlevel for this car that involves you in a lighter sector for your favourite roads. But PDK in the GTS, sure thing, it's great, but not enough to be as extra special as the GT3 and Turbo models are. That's why I think this is a better pick 😊.       Engine is the same size as the GTS, just smaller Turbos. The smaller turbos spin faster and provide an experience closer to a NA engine than the larger turbos of the GTS. Still plenty of power, but more responsive engine. Therefore, I agree it’s the sweet spot for street driving.

      The 992T feels faster than a 991.1 GTS. Plenty for fun on the roads.

      @@DontPanicDear 991.1 GTS maybe but not a 992 GTS. The 992 version of the GTS is a 2.7 second 0-60mph car, which is .1 second slower than a GT3.
