    Brilliantly friendly and happy film! I managed a 260 mile round-trip in my Zoe on Tuesday, costing about £21, (£6 home, three-pin charge and £15 in the Greater Manchester area). The big problem was mobile phone coverage which messed up app downloads .Also my mobile battery was only trickle charging on a low car battery! I should have booked a room, too!

    Lovely fun road trip. Great to drop in all the car features, especially the HUD and driving technology. It really promotes the allure and attractiveness of EV adoption.
    At 3:48, I was initially confused by the time label until I realised you meant the actual time (ie, 11:36AM and not a predicted duration of 11:36HRS). So in the end, the journey took about five and a half hours. If you were doing any significant energy savings (eg, average speed, no unnecessary heating since you were wearing coats, etc), please mention. Thanks 😄

    Your location on the map for the Jurassic Coast is incorrect. Sorry, but you need to drive past Weymouth and on to West Bay or Lyme Regis. However, I did enjoy the video.
    The range is still much to short on most of these cars. This one would be fine for most of my journeys, but I still need to drive long distances (Hamburg - Passau, or Toulouse) so I would have to hire a Tesla. In that case I might as well buy one. In the meantime I'll make do with my Merc GLK which has a range of 850km plus.

    Mmm. So free charging, is it free? I am asking ecologically speaking rather than the money. If people are actually interested in the planet, rather than shiney, shiney oh its new, before we change to EV, we need to get a handle on non essential miles. Oh and it would be interesting to know the cost per mile since the 1st April cost increases in electric. Some electric supplies have nearly doubled in price. If your 5p a mile was before the price increase, some people may be paying as much as 8p or 9p a mile. This does not relate favorably to an economical ICE that costs roughly 12p and obviously costs far less to purchase.
    Would rather we got honest videos rather than "Marketing for EV from the Thought Police."

    • @Brian-om2hh
      @Brian-om2hh Před 2 lety

      Octopus Energy increased their overnight EV charge rate from 5p per kwh to 7.5p per kwh a few weeks back. That still means it only costs me around 2.5p per mile in my Kia EV, assuming I'm getting 3 miles per kw, which isn't difficult, as I see that on the motorway often enough. And, unlike an ICE car, an EV is actually more economical in towns and cities.....
