- Plus wing liner for deeply hooded eyes. I promised I'd take a deeper look at Natasha Denona's Macro Tech Eye Crayon, and what better way than trying a wing? Angie recently did a review of the Lancome Teint Idole Ulta Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer so I had to give that a try (samples are back at Sephora!!), and I have a little "crazy brow" going on and wanted to try to tame that situation, so giving Anastasia Beverly Hills Brown Freeze a test run. I feel your frustration. I've spent the last couple of days trying to perfect a wing liner with my downturned mature lids. I've tried so many different methods and finally I found one that worked for me. I had to use eyeshadow because I couldn't make eyeliner work for me. Thank you for showing us that we all have a struggle of some kind when applying makeup.

You are so right about all the individual hooded eye challenges out there. I try to watch, learn, and adapt as needed. You always have great tips that I know you’ve really thought through.
The Lancome Teint Idole concealer is my new favorite replacing the Dior Forever. I wear it over the Teint Idole peach corrector. I don’t think any concealer in the world can be crease free, but I do think that some crease less or look better in the creases. For me, this Lancome concealer offers the trifecta of a non-cakey, non-drying, minimal creasing formula with really good coverage. What makes it really stand out for me is that I feel it is long wearing and looks just as good at the end of the day as when I put it on. I hope you have better luck with it in a new shade and I look forward to your thoughts on it.
I'm having a hard time finding it in my shade 260 or next shade lighter! But so far, I while I like the way it looks under the eye (very skin-like) I'm not sure it offers enough coverage and I may have to play around with it a bit more. Once I snag my shade, I'll be investigating more!

That concealer is blowing up this week! My interest is peaked.
It has a very natural look for sure. But if you have serious darkness, you may be disappointed. I'm trying to buy some but it's sold out at my Sephora and on their site!

I do wish it had better coverage - but I also put a bit on my cheeks rather than more foundation and it works well there!

As soon as I get my shade, I'll do wear test for sure! I do not find it to be drying - so that's great! But I'm not sure the coverage is enough for me...
Yep..that's why I don't bother trying to do a winged eye!! Way too much hassle.. .just do the corner V and a little line underneath, ending at the outer corner 😊
I was matched to the same shade as you in the Reboot foundation, and in the lancome concealer I was matched to 215, a light neutral shade. I struggle with the winged liner also, this video was very interesting. I think the pencil is the way to go, but the constant sharping needed for this look would use up the pencil quickly.
I'm actually thinking about the 215 too. I tried it on the other day in store, but it was hard to tell. No matter, it's sold out at the moment!
Before sharpening eyeliners or lip liners, put them in the freezer for 10 mins. It makes sharpening your pencils super easy. Especially if you have a pencil that is soft gel like 😉

I think it looked better when you put shadow under the eye 😁. Its just important that the darkest area be on the top mobile lid or in the socket area so that it doesnt look dragged down.

Have you tried the Trish McEvoy instant eye lift concealer/corrector? I love the Lancôme Teinte Idole but the Trish McEvoy is so much better in my opinion. I have the exact same issues as you. My eyes are so hooded my insurance is paying for me to have an eye lift because the doctor said it’s interfering with my vision. I don’t personally think it does but I’m not arguing lol. Angie in hot and flashy just tested the Trish McEvoy Instead eye lift and she lived it. She gave it an instant WOW! Thanks for the eye hacks I’ll be trying them tomorrow!! 💕💕💕
Oh - boy! Good for you!! I haven't tried that - though I did see Angie's video. I guess I'll put it on my list of things to try and will do a video in the next few weeks! To me, Angie doesn't really have much darkness under her eyes, and our skin is very different, so it will be interesting to see!
Agree on not being able to put liner, dark shadow or mascara on bottom lashes. For me, I feel like it makes my eyes smaller.
I just received the concealer. I’ll be anxious to hear your full review. My initial impression is that it is drying. I had to play around with it quite a bit with the Charlotte Tilbury color corrector. And I usually don’t have to do that with other concealers. I do have very dry under eyes though so it could just be me.
Can’t wait for the review on the rephr brushes! I purchased one so far and really like it. I have been interested in the crease brush for hooded eyes.
With that said, I’m trying to determine if they make that much difference given the price. In other words, how will these brushes improve my eye shadow application? Are shadows easier to blend? Do they pick up the product better? More precise application? Will my eyes look less crepey? LOL, how do I justify the cost?
All good questions and I'm going to continue to play with the brushes before I do a video!
I really enjoyed the eye liner tutorial! I don’t have the eye liner pencil but I’ll try it out with what I have. I actually tried a winged liner the other say the way I did back in the day, and when I opened my eyes it disappeared. It was actually kind of funny. It’s like we have mystery eyes. I can put bright blue on my lids and no one would know unless I closed my eyes. Lol.
I have heard a lot about the Lancôme concealer and I would love to get your opinions on it.

Have you ever thought about brow lamination? They straighten your browns with perm solution so they go up or over instead of out. I had it done recently for the first time I’m in love (after a futile search for a brow gel that works). There’s also micro blading. Not that I think you need any of the above-just spitballing! 😘❤️ PS Undereye liner/mascara has never looked good on me but I sometime smudge a light eyeshadow shade underneath that kind of hides the junk and looks kind of messy-chic 🤷🏻♀️
I love me some messy chic. I've heard of brow lamination - but I'm not sure it's for me. I just have a cluster of misbehaving brow hairs that must be tamed! lol

If it works for Angie it doesn't work for me, so I've been waiting for your opinion and an update on the Lancome concealer. I thought I was the only one who thought lining under my eye looked terrible on me.

hello, your eyebrows sticking out is because you cut them a little to short.
I don't cut them! I did trim then a few times maybe six years ago - but not anymore.
I like the eyebrows though the color might be a little smidge warm/dark. I loved your approach to this video. Informative/interesting!
