    Thank you for fair isle speed search in the round. It’s very helpful.

    Excellent tutorial! I used to hate swatching. Now I love it and always swatch! I’ve been knitting for quite a while but only learned how to swatch in the round about 4 years ago. Totally worth it! I learned English style but switched to Continental years ago. When I do Fair Isle I use both hands so the English comes in handy. Your technique is great! It really works well for you. Very fluid. Thanks for sharing with us!🤗

    That video inspired me to knit a proper full swatch (rather than my usual 10 rows and call it a day swatch). I had tried doing speed watches like this in the past but struggled hugely with keeping loops at the back loose enough. What I've done this time is grab a can or bottle and run the strands behind it whilst I knit the first 4 or 5 stitches - seems to have done the trick and i am now in possession of a fully knitted fair isle swatch - I'm ridiculously proud! :-)

    I think the 11th is Tuesday. I’m ready to go. Update: 5:11. 😭 I injured two fingers on my left hand . Fortunately I use Portuguese method.

    Is there enough yarn in the kit to swatch with it?

      I think so given the info I read from another knitter about the grams of each color used. If you're concerned about it, don't cut your swatch. That way, if you find you need the yarn ,in a pinch, you could rip it out.

    How do I know which color is B,C,D, E,F? I bought the Jamison & Smith from Needlepoint Joint and the Shade is a number, not a color and the numbers do not match what's on the pattern?

    Great instructions. So I have been trying continental in my left hand and find I am knitting too tight. When watching you with your left hand, you throw the left yarn over needle from front to back? I did a Fair Isle style swatch cuff by Anne Frost. Do I cut that cuff so I can lay it out flat? Sorry, fairly new knitter and first color work for me🤷‍♀️

      I’m wrapping the yarn counter-clockwise regardless of which hand

    Am I going to have enough of the main color to swatch?

    • @PurlTogether
      @PurlTogether  Před 3 lety

      You should have two balls, or 50 gms of the main color. So that’s enough for searching depending on how large your swatch is
