Morax and Traveler are both theorized to be outsiders since after the archon quest his story doesn’t change, as if he remembers the original dendro archon (his story does change but the info is still the same thus, confirming that hoyoverse did not make a mistake)
I have a theory actually. Genshin takes a lot of inspiration from Hebrew mythology, and in abrahamic religions, the earth is 6000 years old. Zhongli is over 6000 years old so…. He could predate the creation of the primordial one’s teyvat, he could be one of the 7 sovereigns. (Or one of the 4 shades I guess, but I don’t buy that)
I have a thoery that teyvat is fake and that why it has it own law forbidden knowledge is to be aware of this fact
@@Astrakkun The world is and has always been ruled by the Celestials AFAIK. I imagine Zhongli may have been sent down by them to help take care of the archon war. In all of his cutscenes he does seem to look more like an agent with a mission rather than a wandering god conquering the land for his people
@@AizenShisuke the enkanomiya book 'the sun and moon' (or something like that) says that teyvat was first ruled by seven dragon sovereigns, and then the primordial one came and defeated them to create humans, and establish a new order. However, i don't think Zhongli is one of the dragon sovereigns cause his dragon qilin body is not his true form cause he gave it up in the archn quest (we don't even know his true form). Even if it were his true form, qilin didn't exist during the dragon's time so he can't be one of the sovereigns

Wei has a theory that zhongli's archon name doesn't work cause he might be a descender like the traveler who's name doesn't work either . It even is said that rex lapis "descended" on Liyue . Tho I think u can add raiden Infront of his name . The raiden part I mean , cause I named him Raiden-Fujin .
makes sense if they explain how lumine became registered by the irminsul and that there is a way to integrate yourself to teyvat even while being an outsider

@@ondy8621 also there is a lot of secret lore involved, zhogli is untill now one of the few gods that remained for that much time, we know that the hydro archon got replaced, also we know the electro archon also got replaced, dendro is kinda of a rebirth so idk, and the zarina and the pyro archon are still enigmas

To quote Zhongli's Story 5, "only two of the first Seven remain in positions of rulership: Rex Lapis and the Anemo Archon" . So really only Murata could potentially still be an OG if she's not in a ruling position, though considering Venti of all people is still a 'ruler' she'd have to have REALLY fallen from grace.
Though that is interesting, whether or not Nahida counts as an og archon now that Rukkhadevata's been erased. I don't have another acc with Zhongli to verify the changes pre and post erasing her but I know Nahida isn't mentioned in the story post-erasure so huh.
not to mention that zhongli is the only one with cube motifs, similar to how the Heavenly Principles has cubes. Even his shield has similar looking cubes to the Principles’s attacks.
I haven't played his quest, but I'm planning on naming him Eiji. Depending on the Kanji you use, it means "to heal, or to find peace". I thought it'd be sweet for him to rewrite what "Ei" means to him

We already knew Dain was a playable character, he will likely be added in the Epilogue chapter or in an event leading up to the reveal of Khaenri'ah's ruins.
He does say we have to defeat him to use the Loom of Fate and save "her" after all.
The only people who know the Traveler's real names are Dainslief, the Abyss Herald, Paimon and Asmoday/Unknown God, fun fact :)

I named the Wanderer "Kintsugi". Sure, it doesn't have any easter egg, but it's perfect to me. This is gonna be a bit winded and maybe spoiler-y too, but I wanted to share.
Kintsugi is a Japanese art of taking broken pottery and repairing it with lacquer mixed with a precious metal.
I thought real hard about what I should name Wanderer and something about christening a character that had a quite literally broken past and rebuilt himself into something whole and greater was rather profound. I mean, heck, he even took back his past life's memories and past experiences despite the lengths they went to remove them from the annals of time itself. Like, how could I NOT name him that at this point?
That, and since he originated from Inazuma, which is essentially a quasi-Japan, I thought it was quite fitting. ^-^

I named my Raiden-Ryoko cuz I wanted to keep the "Raiden part" in his name + I just translated Wanderer into Japanese and something like that came out but ryoko meant journey? Not sure now but I wanted to keep the wandering part too haha
