    I must say borrowing is easier to explain to a kid.

    • @sharonjuniorchess
      @sharonjuniorchess Před 3 lety

      Children are taught how to do addition subtraction & multiplication right to left using paper & pencil. But once the basic skill is understood they can be taught to do arithmetic in their head and will find that it is easier to do left to right as this is how the result is said. This also makes sense practically because one gets a better approximation of the answer the more digits one computes and it is not always necessary to have an exact result. The problem is in motivating a child to learn a 'different' method when they think they have mastered arithmetic. But this could be used to check their answers which means they would always get 100%. Key to this technique is knowing the "number bonds for 10" or ten's compliments which can be taught at the addition stage.

    • @pradeepkumars7265
      @pradeepkumars7265  Před 4 lety

      First no is 4 u have write 3 baz next no is 5 so complement of 5 is 5 only add 5+3 then u will get 8 but u have reduce 1 no. It will be 7 similarly 5+2 u reduce one and write 6 next for 4 complement is 6 +3 reduce 1 and write 8 next 9complement is 1 9 +1 =10 reduce bcz next no.is bigger one 10-4=9 then last no.is 9 complement is 1 add 1+0 = 1
      So. Answer is 376891

    Sir how to subtract 1 from lets say 4000 with the above method.

    • @pradeepkumars7265
      @pradeepkumars7265  Před 4 lety +1

      If 4000-1 = i.e.4000-0001 so from right 4+0= 4, 0+0=0, next no.is 0+0= 0, but next no.is 0-1 then complementof 1 is 9 there for 0+9 = 9, from left we have to reduce 1 no.from 0, it becomes 9, similarly next no.also becomes, 9, in the same way from 4 reduce 1 no. then it becomes 3. So, the answer will be 3999. Tq u for comment.

    • @pradeepkumars7265
      @pradeepkumars7265  Před 4 lety +1

      Hai good question, 3678 - 690 means 3678 - 0690= for 0,0 only complement hence 0+3= 3, next 6-6=0. But next no.is 9 should be subtracted from 7 so it is not possible hence reduce it 9, and first no.3also becomes 2, now 9 complement is 1 add 1+7 = 8, then last no.0+8 =8, then the answer = 2988
