You are correct! There were new immigration rules implemented on April 4, 2024, that increased the minimum salary threshold for most Skilled Worker visas.
The good news is that applications submitted before the rule change (April 4) are not affected by the new salary threshold. This means:
If you applied for a Skilled Worker visa / Admin Review before April 4, the minimum salary requirement that was in place at the time of your application will be considered.
My administrative review decision not come 11 month started for tier 2. How many months it can be take for decision? Can you tell maximum time frame?
There is no time frame, the longest I have seen is 13 month, the decision came at the 1st week of the 13th Month. So, have you applied for skilled worker visa from outside the UK and case went under AR ? So, is it not your CoS already expired ?

Unfortunately, I cannot give you a definitive answer on how long your administrative review will take. Processing times can vary significantly depending on several factors, but here's some information to help you manage your expectations:
The official guidance from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) states it can take 6 months or more to receive a result for an administrative review application submitted from within the UK.
If you haven't received a decision within 6 months, the Home Office should contact you with an update on the status of your review.

Its common that you don't get any email. Best is, escalate a case by doing a paid inquiry (£2.74) on the basis of your Visa reference number which you have received and then the commination department will update you that the application is with the AR team.

If you have taken correct IELTS after the Visa submission date then that would be considered as a New Evidence and you cant apply AR. If you have taken before and forgot to submit or submitted but due to file error while uploading etc then AR can be considered. Hope that clarify.

If I be honest, nothing you can do apart from sending an email to AR support team. Max I have seen 13 months when applicant got the decision on the 1st week of the 13 months. I can understand how frustrating this 10 months can be, but you can't any anything. I don't have that AR support email but in this video I have shared the Home Office contact number. We got her brp but there was error in validity period (the date in the validity period (13 August 2023)was the date before her biometric appointment) so we reported the error. I don't want to give you any false hope, if you see the comments from my Sep Processing Time video czcams.com/video/oWVaUNcJpv4/video.html, regarding the wait time for AR. It can take up to 1 year. Recently, even Home Office changed the 6th month time frame to 1 year. I know its hard to understand that it can take one year to get the decision but this is the reality.

Hi I got Tier 2 visa refusal because the case worker said that I did not show proof of knowledge of English. In fact, my master degree is from a UK university. I understand your situation and frustration regarding the Tier 2 visa refusal based on purported lack of English language proof. Logically, your case is straightforward as its just an oversight (I don't know how but it is what it is & a lot of hassle for you) There is no time frame provided by the Home Office for AR. There are case who got the decision in 28 days but if you see the comments of this video there are are cases where people waiting for over a year for AR decision. You should have submitted new evidence, as what the file was not uploaded correctly or file had an error. Its computer and error do happens...

It's my 13th day of waiting, I submitted administrative review 30 minutes after I receive my refusal letter pointing them out on my degree certificate and I didn't sent any proof because it is already uploaded in there to begin with. Five days later I realized a mistake I've done during application, there was question "Have you provided a proof of English language in your previous application?" and I answered "Yes" but I read online that it should be a "No". I answered "Yes" because during my application of Tourist Visa (6 months prior) I still send the same Education Document. You need to send an email and get the confirmation about this and I hope this time you don't need to wait another year to get the email response...
Logically, I don't think you need to give IELTS again, cuz when you submitted your visa application, your IELTS was valid and your rejection don't say anything about it so when you ask AR it was valid, if Home Office has taken a year to provide you the decision then its not your fault. Just to clarify what I understood.
You submitted a visa and that got refused and you applied for the AR and you still waiting for the AR decision. But now you want to submitted another Visa Application instead of that A Review decision ? And now you wondering how to get the passport back ?
In that case here is the Guidance Provided by the Home Office:
A request to withdraw an administrative review application must be made in writing by email to the Home Office at the address provided on the visas and immigration pages of the gov.uk website, which is the email address for the administrative review team. The application will be treated as withdrawn on the date the request is received.
A migrant may wish to withdraw their administrative review application if they realise they made a mistake and the original decision was correct. They may instead wish to make a fresh application for leave. They cannot submit a fresh application while the administrative review is pending if they are covered by section 3C leave.
An administrative review application which is pending will be treated as withdrawn if the applicant makes an application for leave to enter or leave to remain. There is no need to email a request to withdraw the administrative review to the Home Office, as set out above. The application for administrative review will be treated as withdrawn automatically.
You must check CID and, if the applicant is or may be overseas, CRS to see if a new application has been made while the administrative review is pending. If it has, you must treat the administrative review application as withdrawn.

If you withdraw your application, then Yes you will get the passport back as your file will be closed. It might take sometime to get it but you will get it. Here is the Full guidance regarding the AR which the Visa Officer used to decide what to do with your case. But why your case went for AR ? And why do you think the chances are zero to get the decision in your favour ?

Hello Sir, i got COS and appointment letter then i applied for skilled worker visa it got refused due to 1 document was dint uploaded. In 1st uploading i updated all documents in 2nd email they ask me to upload TB certificate i was confused mean while visa refused then i appeal for adminstration... Whats the time period to get reply ? If its taking more then 3months can i go with new COS and Visa ?
AR can take up to 6 months, if you can arrange NEW COS then just apply new visa and mention in cover letter what went wrong last time and why you withdrew the AR.

The Home Office appears to have made a mistake by questioning your profession when both the visa application and Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) clearly state you're a painter. You may have a strong case for an administrative review based on the information you've provided.

Post Reference Number:
This is the main reference number assigned to your visa application by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
It's a unique identifier used to track your application progress.
You'll find this number in your application confirmation email or on the acknowledgement letter you receive after submitting your application.
It's typically a combination of letters and numbers, for example, XXX123456 (where XXX could be a country code or location abbreviation).
VAF Number (Visa Application Form Number):
This is a reference number associated with the specific online visa application form you filled out.It doesn't identify your individual application and isn't used for tracking progress. You'll usually find the VAF number printed at the bottom of the online visa application form you completed. It's often a six-digit number. Hope that answer to your question !!!

Your Visa Application is between you (employee) & Sponsor Licenced Company CoS issuer (Employer), in UK they cant ask you to do unpaid work by Law and if your Sponsored Company is doing that or even tried to do that then their licence is most likely to get revoked soon or later as its a breach of the Employment Law. Now lets discuss about your Visa, "my company will apply for review" are we talking about Administrative Review which you do after the visa refusal ? Its you who has to do it not the company, as its your (applicant) visa. AR can take 1 year to get the decision.

If your Visa is rejected and you have received your passport back then if your sponsor can issue you another CoS then you probably need to apply again for the SWV.

Regarding the positive decision, its all depend if you have provided all the evidence to defend your case. Even if they refuse it you can still appeal the decision, it will be mentioned on your decision letter.

Yes, it might take few more weeks to update you regarding your case. There is long delay. I will recommend do paid inquiry with the Home Office to escalate your case.

Am assuming this reply is written in guidance with the solicitor/lawyer. Solicitors are always good in their job and I pray the decision comes in your favour. Considering other applicant processing time which was shared in the comments section of my video. It will take not less then 4-6 weeks in your case.

A month ago, Gov UK website use to say 12 months processing time for AR and recently they changed it to 6 months. One of my applicant got the decision after 13 months recently. Just hope you get it in 6 months.

I am from Nigeria,I applied for a student dependent AR on the 2nd of December 2022, decision overturned June 12 2023 payed additional IHS June 15 2023 and I submitted my passport with a copy of my overturned decision letter even without receiving passport submission mail on Monday, July 24th 2023 at the VAC..is over 2 months and I'm yet to receive any update as to when I will get my passport back. Have done so many paid mail/calls but the UKVI contact centre isn't helpful and just gives generic answers while refusing to escalate to the appropriate quarters. My AR process has taken approximately 10months.. Please could you kindly give details on the processing time for visas after a successful administrative review when a refusal decision has been overturned ? Most cases of AR takes longer time to process then standard cases. If you calculate from 24th July then its 11 weeks. Recently, one applicant shred his/her timeline 4 months after the decision overturned in AR. Under these two videos comments you will find similar applicants timeline.

There is no timeline provided on the Gov.UK for the AR cases, we can only judge on the basis of other applicants timeline. You can get this coming week or it may take up to 4 months. Stay positive and wait patiently. There is nothing you can do apart from the inquiry which you already done.

Recently Home Office has updated the processing time for AR, As per Home Office:
"Currently, it can take 12 months or more to receive the result of the administrative review. If you do not get a decision on your application within 6 months, the Home Office will contact you with an update. Your rights are not affected by the delay in processing applications.
You cannot request a second review (unless the result of the first review found new reasons why you were refused). Your decision letter will tell you if you can apply for a second review."

Hy sir My student visa is going to expire on 30jan 2024 and i applied for my wife visa on 20 sep 2024 i received refusal stated that
“ You have applied as a dependent of a person holding a Student Route visa in the UK however, Home Office records show that your partner's visa expired on 30 January 2023 and therefore he does not have valid leave in the UK as a Student. Have you applied from outside or inside ? Admin Review can take a long time depending on the reasons you have been refused. Try doing paid inquiry, I have discussed at the end of this video how to contact Home Office.

Yes, you can contact Home Office Directly, do you have the Application Ref number, if not then ask for it. Its your legal right to have the Application Ref number as a proof that your application is submitted. There is no actual timeline provided by the Home Office, it all on luck and assumptions. I know, this answers sounds like lame, but this is the true reality, you may get the reply tomorrow or may be after few months. Hope for the best...

Yes, it can take up to 6 months or more, do atleast one paid inquiry as that will assure you that your visa is under process and nothing pending at your end.

If your current visa allows you to work, you can continue to do so while your application is being reviewed. Have you received any letter or email ? If your previous visa says no then you can't while new visa is under review.

Yes, one applicant received the decision at the start of the 8th month of AR. Aug/Sep is very busy for Home Office, so hopefully end of this month you will get the decision. What I have understood your case belongs to 3rd category, when you arrived at the Airport they refused you to enter in the UK and provided you the decision which says you apply for the Admin Review ?
I am assuming you are in the UK and you have x number of days to either Apply for Admin review or go back ?

My student visa got refused due to visa officers mistake.
Visa refusal reason was due to the alleged failure to provide requested documents which is my evidence of employment.But i have provided the documents so it was visa officer mistake because they failed to check my mail.

How long will it take to get the result??
There is no window time for the AR and don't bother to do inquiry as they will redirect you to an email address. If its a straight forward case with no verification then it will be quicker.
When you classes starting, send email to uni for extension. I will share the draft.

Yes, I would recommend contact the University about it, as it is possible each CAS number is only for particular term Sep Start for example and now if you want to start Jan Intake then the Uni might have diff CAS number as the valid CAS number must appear at the Home Office end to issue you the Visa. You can send email to know your application status as its your right to know.
