I got Sharkleberry Fin few years ago before they stopped selling it at Kroger. They also had Purplesaurus Rex and Rock-a-Dile Red which I tried recently, really good flavors! Kraft needs to make more of those flavors, I’m sick of seeing aisles of cans of seltzer water!
Being a kid born in the 80's, it was fun seeing all the art work on the packs of Kool Aid that I remember as a kid. Brought me back to my younger days as a kid.
@@IsmailofeRegime yeah, that would be kinda weird, but it would still be worth it honestly, since the 80s is now considered history, also this comment was a joke, but I think the 80s looked interesting, even through I am only 13
@@willissudweeks1050 that’s sounds interesting, I really hope the decade gets studied in schools some time in the future, because it’s a really fascinating decade to look at
What are the fuckin odds that I randomly remember your original video that I saw 11 years ago, wanted to watch it again, and see that you remade another video literally 4 hours ago. What a lovely coincidence lol
I love "I Rate the 80's". So glad it's back! I am guessing I'm around your age Chris, my mom ordered us the Kool Aid game (Atari 2600 version) with our KoolAid points back in the day. 4-6 weeks later I finally got the game and stopped playing it as soon as I started. As a kid, I didn't know what the hell to do. Later in life, I really love the game and play it from time to time. Thanks for the great info about a nostalgic drink.
I'm a 90's kid, born in 87, watching this brought back a lot of memories. I'm sitting next to my brother and kept showing him the video to see the flavors from our childhood. Great video. Educational and interesting.
I still remember back in the 80's collecting all of those Kool-Aid points to try and buy items with them from Kool-Aid. I wonder if they still do that?
You're a treasure hunter for your avidity to gather all those novelties to the next and older generations for show and tell. This short documentary was also informative to give honor to Kool Aid’s artful, one of kind works, which I never knew of coming from the 90s.
Nostalgic overload. You said it right my good old Chris. I see Kool Aid as a Pac-Man-like alternate universe... hahaha... they have these awesome characters, very colorful and pretty, different themes, environments, and all. Pretty much like a good cartoon from the 80's. When I think Kool Aid I pretty much think of cartoons and fun... good old, classic childhood memories. Thanks a lot for this video. By the way, where did you get all your Kool Aid merchandise? I love the pitcher, would love to get one, and where did you get all your different Kool Aids? Did you keep them under your bed all these years ?
Oh that was a funko thing they released last year that I picked up for this episode at target. The other stuff I found at antique stores. The packets I had to get through a collector
Great video, Chris! There is probably an entire video's worth of fun talking about the order forms of all the weird stuff you could get from the points on the packages. It was also weird hearing the Monkees have commercials for Kool Aid as well. Nice tribute at the end fpr Tom, too.
You've been on a roll man! I'm loving the diversity of videos - learning about all kinds of stuff familiar to me but in much more detail. Love it man keep it up!
Loved Kool-Aid as a kid and I still love it as an adult! I usually get those containers that already have both the Kool-Aid and sugar mixed in, though it's sometimes fun to just buy those packets and add the sugar in, myself.
Oh yeah!! I always thought his voice was by Wolfman Jack. Koolaid was basically all I had to drink growing up until I was like 22 when I discovered... water. I do wish Koolaid would release those rare radical flavors again!
When somebody breaks into Chris's house they are gonna be very confused by all the Vintage cereal, Kool-Aid packs, ghost hunting equipment, puppets and video games.
I used to have that Atari game back in the day. Also there was a vhs/promotional video I remember having too, but I don't remember how I got that. It was probably another proof of purchase type deal. And even though this isn't related in the early 90's Nintendo Power gave away free copies of Dragon Warrior for the Nes as part of a promotional thing for subscribers. I remember that as it was the first time I ever played an rpg and that's what got me into other stuff like Final Fantasy. Not exactly the same, but sort of similar. Cheers Chris!
as a non american, i got on the Kool aid very late and it was very underwhelming as a beverage , as kids , we were all about TANG , the orange flavored one, i think the first time i had Kool aid was in those small plastic bottles with the top u had to yank out, then some pouches and finally the small packets , lately i found some Crush cherry limeade that is kind tastier, but to this day, i am on a quest to find GFUEL, but it still eludes me..... anw, another awesome IRATE gamer video, much love to u Chris, may ur channel grow bigger.
Great video as a person from Denmark that just know the kool-aid man and product from Vacation 1983 and Family guy, it was great to see the story behind the Mascot and the product 🇩🇰🇺🇸
Berry Blue! All these years I was swearing (to myself) that there was a "plain" Blueberry Kool-Aid back in the '80s. Berry Blue was so addictive! I'm kinda sorta glad its temptation is gone. Kinda...
You do really great work. I love your documentary style content like this best. I hope you explode again the way you did when you were youtube’s answer to AVGN mania. Love it
I feel you never got enough credit back in the day for building what was a pretty good Kool-Aid Man costume
And I remember when you tried to get this guy as a guest voice actor in one of your episodes
Hello Bootleg317
So glad this dude found his own style and voice.
@@RumchugMusic Dude you know what I mean
Sometimes Kool-Aid Man would look like a Kaiju bursting through those walls! 😂😂😂

Did anyone catch it when Tom Anthony said, “Oh yeah.” During the interview?
This was the best Irate the 80's yet dude, I learned so much from this one
AVGN and Irate Gamer both upload a new video on the same day?... life is pretty good sometimes :)
I just watched that before clicking this video.
OriginalMasters some what game nerd?
I learned more history about the 80s from this series than anything I learned from my own school
To be fair, it'd be kinda weird if students had to learn about Kool Aid Man alongside like... Reagan and Gorbachev.

I’m a HUGE fan of old school packaging. I almost enjoy it more than I enjoyed the actual products themselves.

HELL YEAH, IRATE THE 80’S IS BACK I LOVE THIS SERIES!
I wish they still had Kool-Aid commercials similar to the 80’s and 90s as opposed to what we got today.
yeah, I'm gonna puke if I see another commercial about shaving men's ball sacks...
I loved Irate the 80's back then so I'm glad to see you've brought it back! It's great to see you again :)
I've been watching your channel for years, and lately you've been putting out some of your best work ever. Thanks for the great videos.
I was born in 1981. So many memories, even when my mom sometimes mixed Kool-Aid with ginger ale! All of the old flavors need to return!

I grew up with three brothers in the 80s and 90s. We drank a lot of Kool Aid. Lol. Great video!
Great narration. These episodes remind me of Unwrapped with Marc Summers, which is the highest compliment I can give!
I loved that show. High praise!
Heck yeah, Unwrapped with Marc Summers was awesome! I definitely get that vibe here. More retro food and drink reviews! Like Bonkers candy.
Keep it up Chris! Really enjoy your content and the obvious passion and interest you put into it. Great research too.
Nice collection of packets! Man I drank loads of koolaid in the 80s. Always added a little extra sugar for good measure!
Dang, the Koolaid Man died last year...😰
Didn't even know.
😠Damn!😟
Awesome irate 80s is back

I don't even live in the US and I know about Kool Aid Man and his "OH YEAH !!"
I’m glad you revisited this topic for Irate The 80s. Keep em’ comin’ Chris. You’re on a roll my friend! 👌🏻👌🏻
That "Oh yeah!" soundbite is the most 90's thing ive ever heard in a decade that was before the 90's.
Wow, I wasn't expecting this one. I still think your original IG Kool Aid review is one of your best
Didn’t expect you to be here LOL
Great video Chris! Been with you since the beginning ❤️

Great history lesson. Love these kinds of videos.
I love to see more of this series. Great memories of the 80’s.

What a great blast from the past! Now I wanna find those Kool Aid comic books~
I’m a simple man. I see an updated IRATE Kool-aid video, I click it.
I remember some of these commericials, good times.
Oh yeah!! I always thought his voice was by Wolfman Jack. Koolaid was basically all I had to drink growing up until I was like 22 when I discovered... water. I do wish Koolaid would release those rare radical flavors again!
Hey look, Irate Gamer is sipping on that Kool-Aid... Kool-Aid.
That was a pretty kool documentary of an era I barely experienced.
When somebody breaks into Chris's house they are gonna be very confused by all the Vintage cereal, Kool-Aid packs, ghost hunting equipment, puppets and video games.
Haha. So true.
This is something I was always curious about like the amount of kool aid flavors and all kool aid stuff.
Super cool video
This series is criminally underrated, keep em coming 👍
Berry Blue was like crack to me in the Summer of ‘88! Thanks for the memories

Silly, yet informative. Nice video.
Kool-Aid still makes a jello product. They have it at supermarkets and it's really good too.
Irate the 80s? OH YEAH!
The production quality on your videos is very good, you deserve a lot more subscribers
Many thanks!!
11:26 imagine being the guy who hoarded unopened Kool--Aid packets for 30 years
I’m no Koolaid fan, but I do have a topper figure from Koolaid jelly beans .
Now I’m thinking of grabbing the Koolaid Man game.
Also, I miss the Purplesaurus Rex Kool-Aid flavor! That was one of my favorites!
Awesome video Im glad to see a new Irate the 80s video.
I wish that kool-aid would release all their old flavors in a bug gift pack, that'd be awesome!
Lol! So funny! my family had that Kool Aid baby bottle! We used it for my baby brother 🤣.
I never knew Kool aid once had an Apple flavour, wish I could've tried that one, bet it was tasty

Thabk you very much. Probably wont reenter the gaming arena again like before due to the algorithm these days
Being a '90s kid, Great Bluedini was my fave flavor.
It is really great to see you making new videos. They really brighten my day. Thank you for making them again.
I watch this video anf noticed it was uploaded 9 hours ago. Damn, I thought I was rewatching that old Cool Aid video he made a while ago.
Awesome video Chris! A very informative and fun video. I still get the Kool aid liquid you can add to water bottles.
Mountain berry punch was one of my all time favorite flavors, wish they would bring it back
This is my favorite series on the channel 😍
I remember watching irate the 80s kool aid episode back in 2010 when I was a kid. So when I saw this on my suggestions a clicked so fast

Great video Chris! Informative and entertaining!!!
Your first kool-aid video was so nostalgic so I'm glad this was made
My niece was born on St. Patrick's Day, we always made the lime flavor. I used lemon Kool-Aid in a chiffon pie last year. It wss pretty good.
Haha very good video, kool-aid was one of my favorites, also it gives me back to my childhood
My kids always laugh when I say that I swear Kool Aid Man has OCD for running through walls! He sees a wall, he just HAS to run through it! 😃
This is a surprise! I wasn’t expecting another one of these. Great job!
This video was so entertaining. It was probably my favorite one you’ve ever done. Well done!
I don't know why I didn't watch this until today? That was brilliant. (Nes Manga)
