I think your cats whisker was the *chefs kiss PERFECT addition!’ I literally have a coffin shaped pink wall shelf w “wet specimens” & I def just bedazzled the lids of my new kitten and puppy additions I recently got to add to my plethora of oddities. A Cat’s whisker is pretty tame considering I’ve LITERALLY got 3 kittens in my room..,2 puppies…a baby mink, a baby piglet, a baby pinkie mouse, and a baby quail chick.I used to have waaay more but SADLY my former roommate stole everything I owned and I had to start all over 💔
Ooh, the coffin shelf. My sister and I have always wanted to make a coffin coffee table. Glad my whiskers aren’t so wild. Hahah.
FINALLY a functional witch apothecary cabinet instead of just the ones filled with random rocks or glitter and called weird things. I always watch those and think that they wasted a perfectly opportune time to begin a mini home apothecary. I just started keeping herbs for herbalism benefits and I'm thinking that for this Autumn I may have to make a little witchy cabinet like this for my counter for decoration, but also for functional use & fun! Someday I'll be able to afford a full apothecary shelf but for now I have a cluttered counter of jars.
Yay! I ended up mounting mine on a wall. I love it so much. Oh, I also bought some even tinier empty bottles. When friends come over, I invite them to make their own little spell mix to take with them. Everybody loves it. I also got a tiny mortar and pestle. Highly recommend.

How cute - that makes an adorable Apothecary Cabinet. Holds a nice variety even though it's dainty, if "witchy" can be dainty! I'm sending this video to my daughter, I hope she makes one for her alter. Would also work to hold essential oils. Very nice & nicely done!

A spray of rubbing alcohol and water with two drops of Dawn really helps to dissolve glue. Let it sit for 5 mins., scrape, repeat until it’s gone.🧙

My father gave me, my mom and my sister one-each was slightly different (more drawers, less drawers, etc). The year was, gosh, 1986? Maybe ‘87? I think he got them from mail order…lemme text him and find out more. Stay tuned! Oh, and I defo gave it to goodwill somewhere in Boston c. early 2000s….

Missed you, witch! Before you revealed the whisker I thought you were going to show us toenails or the stump of your umbilical cord. When you and your coven are of a certain age you can collect your chin hairs in one of those vials. Fabulous Thrift Flip, btw.

Good to have you back! Hope all is well with your fam. The cabinet DIY is incredibly cool! SO impressed with how you repurposed that thrift find into something absolutely beautiful! I remember when those vertical jewelry boxes with windows were in the ‘Great Gifts‘ section of the Christmas Wish Book catalogue (it was probably the early 70’s). I used to go through the whole Wish Book, not just the toy section - can you tell I was a kid before CZcams and video games were invented?🤣 I think it’s perfectly normal to keep found whiskers - I’ve kept them from my cats over the years. I’ve only ever found a few - I don’t know what happens to the rest. Vanished by cat magic, perhaps?
I love hearing about this! I was wondering what type of style it was since I hadn’t seen it. The more I love with it, the angled doors also make me think of a casket too. Either way, one of my favorite little thrift flips. I’m still slowly emerging from the craziness of the last few months, but hope to ramp up posting more.

I have a jewellery cabinet that desperately needs a makeover and this was the inspiration I needed!❤ BTW, I started making my own rub and buff in a ton of different colours with furniture wax and mica powder.
