Till my dieing day i still believe that Beethoven's requiem was the first metal song ever to be written..
You are so right. These guys wer the metal artists of their day. Everything in minors. These guys are absolutely amazing.
As I understand it, Beethoven never wrote a requiem. Perhaps you mean Cherubini's Requiem, which Beethoven requested for his own funeral?
@@petersage5157 I'm pretty sure he means Mozart's requiem, since we're hearing a part of the confutatis combined with Beethoven's 5th symphony here (fits with the story of the album as well)
It's not His song he stole it.
You are so right about Beethoven , honestly I've truly believe that Beethoven was way ahead of his time plus lug van Beethoven was is the true grandfather of classic music hater gonna hate
you dont get the full expierence untill you see them live. its incredible!!!!!
I saw them live it was loud but I love it
Saw them in Duluth, GA for the 25th anniversary tour. Absolutely an amazing experience. For those who haven't seen them live, just do it. I promise you won't regret it.
So true!
I'm trying to see them the Sunday after Thanksgiving!
True I am literally obsessed
Trans-Siberian Orchestra has a special and awesome talent, bringing classical music to the electronic age is outstanding. I love listening to them.
You mean Savatage right? TSO is just a watered down Savatage.
It is the night Beethoven died. He was finishing up his last piece. The beautiful unfinished masterpiece.
Rest in peace Paul O'Neil. The legacy and music of TSO will live on.
@ALEXANDER FRIEND yes he passed away , TSO did a tribute for him at the show in 2017
@@Chris-ey6rn I went to a show last night and they did a tribute song for him. (My first show ever- WOW If I had know it was THAT over the top I would have found a way to go every year!! THAT WAS AMAZING!!)
I loved that they are still doing a tribute to him.
This is in my top three favorite Trans-Siberian Orchestra songs of all time, right along with Wizards in Winter and Carol of the Bells.
And the return of mephistofeles.
wish liszt is underrated
Don't forget Christmas Canon Rock
Me too😀
It's actually called Christmas eve sarajevo 12/24
I wish they would make a movie based on this album,I just love how their albums each tell a story
Amadeus, check it out
if ludwig would of had electronics he would of been the greatest musician on the planet most people dont know he could actually visulise the sound , he knew what every instriment sounded like. in his head , incredable musical tallent especially when he went deaf he could still feel and see the sound , he knew what the note felt like , and how it should sound even before it was played my favorite composer invented rock n roll , on the pianio ,
this was an amazing album, showing they can do more than just Christmas
I went to see this show the first year they did it. This should go without saying, but it was awesome!
Check out their Letters from the labyrinth album that came out a few years ago, killer album.
Absolutely
If you know who savatage is, you'd know they don't just do Christmas music
Except for Night Castle. That album is awful. I agree to check out Savatage though.
Love Trans Siberian Orchesta, I love classical music and rock or hard rock, This is the best of both worlds.
One badass version of Beethoven's Fifth.......long live TSO! :-)
Inaccurate. Beethoven sawed the legs off of his piano so that he could feel the vibration on the floor, because he was deaf. But this is a most BAD ASS cover of his awesome masterpiece.
How can i not love metal beethoven!!!
2021 and still coming back they love music and they are all on the top of there game Paul did awesome And John what a team
Just saw them tonight in Greenville, SC, the most amazing show I have ever seen! Will never miss them live again!
aahhh welcome aboard...a wee bit late as typical...now "you are one of US" lol
Awesome paring: TSO with special guitarist Peter Capaldi!!
YES
Well, the 12th Doctor DID say he met Beethoven :P
O.O Capaldi is a special guitarist?! I thought that that was just a random thing those 2 episodes! Mind. Blown.
Wait is that actually peter capaldi
At 1:22 the blonde dancer is Allie Sheridan, who plays the runaway in The Ghost Of Christmas Eve special.
indeed it is she

Do my best to never miss their concerts as it is ALWAYS a great show!
You should look into Savatage. A lot of TSO were I'm that band back in the 80s.
@@Species5008I own Savatage albums😊 met Paul O'neill once!
Love how Mozart's Confutatis Maledictus is in this. Really this is crazy awesome!
Seeing them live I haven't forgotten.
..the hell! I was watching pokemon and I don't know how I got here 😂😂😂
Definitely my favorite..👌
If you see them live....sit in back of arena to get full effect..... it gets smokey too...prepare yourself.
See you next tour!!
2:49 HELL YEAH!
This song is insanely awesome. Truly their best work
I play violin and i have to say this one of the most fun songs i've ever played and it just sounds so awesome!
Super Cookie any song by the trans Siberian orchestra is fun to play
Whenever I hear or see the word 'Requiem' that's automatically what I think of xD
Sounds as if they mixed in a little of Mozart's Requiem Death Mask at 1:55 until about 2:49. Love this.
Death *March*? It's the "Confutatis". But, yes brilliant.
Thats why it says Requiem; thats Mozart
Saw them in Atlanta for Xmas 2010 (The best arena concert I have ever been to - Fire, lasers, video screens, moving platforms, and everything was perfectly in tune with the live music) Just bought my tickets for their Beethoven show in Chattanooga (4/19/11) - Planned a 2-day vacation around the show
Beethoven didn't die, he misappropriated cosmic reality to exist in another realm.
You win CZcams Comments Award!
Thats literally a story element of this album
This. . . is . . . AMAZING! March 27 happens to be my birthday as well. How was I a music major and didn't know that Beethoven died on that date? Oh well. I do admit to a bit of confusion though as to why this is on a Christmas playlist.
And the minstrels of our ages have done it again.
God I love listening to TSO!
And thus, Ludwig Van Beethoven regained his hearing and lived on forever!
Yeah more than 183 years with beethoven's music! ,Bieber's music, will take amm like 2 years, to be forget.
TSO, you honor the classics! Beethoven would be proud!
I just love the Trans-Sibrian Orchestra and this is one of my favorite videos and I've meet the group too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would KILL to go to one of these concerts.
i truely hope you have made it to a show without going to that extreme! 😄😄🤩
Awesome video, with a simple yet beautiful staging and lively music... and man are those women HAWT!
not gunna lie until the guitar kicks in with the bass and the drums and keys sounds like something straight of a slayer album...
All tributes to Beethoven should be this uber-tastic!!!
Beethoven... With an electric Guitar...
I have found my new god of Rock and Roll.
"Alone with his muses..." I don't think you're alone when you have a bunch of beautiful women around you. Either way damn good music.
Those are his muses.
Beethoven had some really hot muses!
Too young!
Only a band as amazing as Savatage could give birth to the genius that is TSO.
this is amazing!!!!
If women like this visited me in my home, I'd never leave.
Beethoven is my favorite classical Musician :)
TSO is fantastic!!!
First time I ever saw this song in concert, they blew my mind with the pyro - they did an excellent job with it. ;)
Mine was last night, and YES IT WAS AMAZING!!!
Immaculate 😫
finally someone here who knows something about music.
Vampire Feeling, Hands Down my Favorite Song by Trans Siberian Orchestra.
love this stuff i play them in my car (best system ) its never annoying no matter how loud it is unlike much of the music today (i use the term, lightly ) and my teenager. while says he does not. like it. i see him tapping his feet or reacting to the music i told him now your getting some culture .
In fact, this is a mix Beethoven's 5th Symphony and Confutatis/Lacrimosa from Requiem's Mozart (since 1:55) ....and Rock, of course. Thnx
Only in the most superficial way. It's pretty silly from a composer's perspective. The girls are sexy though. What that had to do with Beethoven I dont know though. Anyway if you'd like to hear some in depth classical comentary on pop music try checking out a channel called "the art of counterpoint". Maybe "Lady ga ga Fugue" or anything else on said channel.
I don’t her any of Amadeus’ Requiem
I mean Wolfgang
Mozart's Requiem (Confutatius/Lacrimosa) starts at 1:30 and then ends at 3:20 when it returns to Beethoven's 5th.
I've heard Mozart's Requiem, even probably played it in high school (early 70's), but put it all together again when it was on a Meat Loaf album.
Saw these guys on the Amelie Arena in Tampa, FL on December 13, 2014. I had A BLAST seeing these guys live again
FreedomOrNothin Take him! show him how great these guys are
This definitely has that CastleVania atmosphere, and business picks up big time at both 1:00 and 1:55!
This legendary work of TSO shouldn't be so carelessly made in such a video!!!..
HE CREATED YET ANOTHER!
Que excelencia Felicidades saludos desde Paraguay amo este grupo
Someone write a requiem for the replay button because I totally killed it
this particular song and version would make a good movie opening/title sequence
i saw these guys live on Thursday, and Jesus Christ they are amazing~!
So totally a piano can make that sound expessailly when hitting that hard that dynamic makes so much scene and even playing random keys will give the correct notes
I think I just blew out my headphones because I cranked it up. Totally worth the ringing in my ears right now.
where is the skip ad and mary this song button??!!
I feel like this since I’ve been on VH1 classic
One day this video will have the 1,000,000 views it deserves.
I was so confused when I heard Mozart but at the same time I got hyped
FUCKING AWESOME......the perfect mix of classical and metal...
Chills yes chills!!!!!!!!!! This and Moonlight And Madness are my favorites!
Respect or nothing. I'd die to prove it beyond the shadow of any reasonable doubt.
O.O *looses all composure* aaaaahhhhggghghgha!
AWESOME!!!! I wish they would play at Bethelwoods in New York but all we get is the Philharmonic... This would be a better show.
this is TRUE neo-classical metal:)
beatiful girls beatiful music beatiful performance
what else could be more perfect?
I like the idea behind this video.
absolutely brave and great! is amazing the music and the video even more so amazing, bravo and bravo!!! many good wishes for the New Year, ciao Zina
We're playing this as our marching show this year!!
Seeing them 2wks from tonight, am so friggin pumped!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from their concert in UT. AMAZING :D
Confutatis was always my favorite part of the requiem, can't beat those 3 note slurs.
O.O My mind is officially blown. This is just awesome beyond words.
Okay, first of all, SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE DAMN DISLIKES AND "SPAMMING/KILLING THE REPLAY/LIKE BUTTON." THIS IS A GOD DAMN PIECE OF MUSIC, AND NOT EVERYONE'S GONNA LIKE IT. Finally, I've always loved how they use electric instruments as well as classical
It's is what it is😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
من في عربي عم يسمع إلى الان سافاتاج تحيه لاصدقائي القدامى .اشتقت لكم❤
possibly the greatest song ever!
i love this song sooo much
i saw these guys in Detroit December 28th 2019 and they were amazing!!
HELL TO THE LIKE.
Epic is the word of the day.
first sentence: possibly but maybe not
second sentence: so freaking true
My fave part: lalalala *singing.....then... dun dun dun DUN!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite part 1:54 - 2:50
Overall Best Part 0:10 - 3:40
dont know about you all but reminds me a lil of bill and ted. love it. best concert ive EVER seen
Beautful Dance!
This is beautiful, spectacular, wonderful. It brings out a new out look on the subject.
Ooooh the Madness!!!
combining Mozart and Beethoven....genius
This is just a watered down version of Savatage, of course Savatage and TSO are technically the same band except TSO is 100x more popular.
