Hereâs my story to this song⊠Humphrey was the next Engine to be scrapped,he was an old 0-6-0 engine that was made back in the 1910âs nearly like one of Thomasâ class of E2. He hated to see his brothers lost to the torch and was starting to dread his passing to the great railway in the sky. That was when a little boy with blue hair came up to him and told him heâll be alright,he then decided they should sing. Humphrey never knew how to sing, but when he did,his song was calm and breathtaking,it was one of hope, one of the hard work and effort to his railway that he served for many years. He sang so proudly and with much grace, and when the time came for him to cut up,he sang his last notes, one of remembrance and kindness to his friends and his controllerâŠand just like that, his face, and possibly his own soul was gone. R.I.P HumphreyâŠyou shall be missed. đ«Ą (Humphrey is the name Iâve given to the âScrap Engineâ in this song btw.)
I had a similar story but made it out that the engine been waiting in line for the cutters torches for so long it barley remember its own name. And that Bf sung with him while the cutters got to work to help it ignore the constant sting of the hot torches.
Song hits harder if you can think a story for it. "Bf and Gf were wandering the graveyard of old worn steam engines, one called out for the two to come over, it was inside the shed and the workers were about ready to start cutting, the engine, who long forgotten its own name asked the two for one last wish, to help it remember the good old days with a final song. The two nodded and while the welders got to work cutting Bf sung to the engine to help take its mind from the sting of the cutters. By the time the song ended Bf was facing a hollowed out engine."
Except we canât ignore the harsh reality that the engines outside Sodor who sadly couldnât get there didnât get that second chance that Douglas did when he snuck away with Donald or Oliver when Douglas saved him from being scrapped. And this isnât in just a Thomas concept. Itâs in general life that most steam engines were scrapped whereas some were preserved and refurbished for rail museums.
"This the scrap yards an engine with an face remains waiting for his fate until he died after the cutters torch resort of cutting his face and melting him down causes his friends crying as they were next"
Itâs also one of those songs that you feel like you need to stay quiet and listen. Let the engine sing out his final serenade in a way. I know that the engine is fictional but my heart goes out to that engine who fell to the cutters torch. He was just so scared and upset since he probably had to watch the other engines being cut up piece by piece, with the impending fear that he was next. I would feel the same way if I was in his position. Ok somebody really needs to write a story on this song.
This fnf song gives me the creeps cause at the end, his face got torn off and that was so creepy and so is his face named the GWR 2251 class 6-0-6-0! And on the left of the tender engine, thereâs a shadow of a tank engine named the LNWR 18xx 0-6-2!

Maybe, just maybe there was a small chance for the engine to be restored, perhaps this was for the best for both parties
