  • Cardiff a long-beaked common dolphin, was rescued January 23, 2024 around 6 months of age. He was alone on the beach with several injuries including a broken jaw. SeaWorld San Diego successfully rehabilitated him and due to his young age he was unable to be released. So he has a forever home at SeaWorld! In this video you can see the beginning steps of bridge conditioning, A to B between trainers, and getting him to stop and sit up right for feedings. It is a very slow process and will take years before he is like the dolphins you see in the show! Everything is done slowly on his terms as he has to get used to his new home and new life!
