  • Want to do long-tube headers on your 2018 or newer Mustang GT, but aren't sure if you'll like the sound with stock exhaust? Then this video is for you! This quick video compares the sound of a 100% stock exhaust system versus Stainless Power long-tube headers with stock exhaust. Comparisons include start-up, revs, wide-open throttle on both the street and dyno, as well as some in-cabin shots.
    Hopefully this video helps!

    Surprisingly “tame”. I had ruled out LTs altogether because I thought they’d be too loud for my taste, but these might work.

    This is great for active exhaust folks. I’ve had headers on other mustangs & they could be heard from houses away on cold starts. You can get the power without being “that guy” with this setup.
    And cheaper exhaust options just make the car loud. It’s like the car is just screaming, which is fine to some degree, but not for me.

      I'm thinking about getting the same headers on my 19 Bullitt. How do you like your header setup? Did you delete the resonator? I did. It made a noticeable positive difference with the stock shorty's and the stock axle back. Thanks!!!

    • @NissanTy
      @NissanTy Před 20 dny

      @gappedtoto1663 I noticed a gain in power. I got my car tuned as well when I had them installed. The resonator suitcase is still on. My future plans is to eliminate the kitties and see how it sounds with the resonator then maybe get an H pipe and keep the stock mufflers. Catback exhaust for these cars are stupid expensive and all they do for the most part is gain sound and 0 power

      @NissanTy That's the truth about the cat back systems. I like the sound of the stock exhaust on the car. I do have an H pipe on it now. Sounds excellent. I'm happy you enjoy your long tube's. I may throw a set on mine too. Thanks for your response!!!!

    Does keeping stock exhaust reduce potential power? Or is the difference not a lot when pairing headers with full exhaust

    • @rileyneufeld7001
      @rileyneufeld7001 Před rokem +1

      A full exhaust will make more due to the bigger piping and less restriction. But the headers and cats/resonator are the biggest restrictions so you won't see much gain from going to a full exhaust probably ~5whp
