    Oh netsky and all the heartbroken fans like myself and others , but this album was so good we thought you'd keep the vibe of this album . Sadly your music just changed rapidly. This was the greatest album you made but with sadness you didnt entertain us like you did in this album. Also this was the true drumb and bass tempo not like the others which are too slow or fast.
    But this album ill keep 4ever as not because it was a awesome album but its when I first met my wife to be at the time my GF. lol.
    I hope one day netsky you'll make your music like this one ? Remains to be seen. What an amazing album I always have it in my car .... lol

      The most difficult position to be in, for an artist, is to be creative, expand their range and experiment. They need to do this as artists and what makes it so hard is that people like you try to hold them in place by suggesting they've alienated their fans by evolving. An artist is more than one album and if you don't know what to do it they change their style between albums, maybe you were never a Netsky fan and only a fan of THIS one album. Some food for thought. :)

      @@df5826 he is going back to his roots now our Belgian pride! Plenty of artists that use another alias to create and experiment with music. like eric prydz (pryda,cirez D), pendulum (knife party), and many more ofcourse! maybe he should have done it that way but i'm just glad he is going back to his roots!
      greetings from Beljammm

      @@gd1996dg You are correct that other artists do use an alias to try other styles but some of the best don't bother because they know as an artist they should be allowed to change and grow. Happy Netsky is still around and that he's still making music. :)

      @@df5826 I think people generally have open ears and a willingness to give new releases a chance in today's streaming culture. Some of my favorite artists have wildly different sonic aesthetics from album to album. I think what matters is the context which informs the change from one album to another. If you're going to change up your sound, challenge your audience with something subversive. Keep things fresh and never step backwards into 'safety' because that's the moment your career begins to wane as a young artist. Netsky did precisely that with the releases following his self titled. This self titled was so fresh and new that liquid DnB today is practically cursed by the sound he conjured here--almost every producer ends up biting this style. "Influential" is an understatement. His following releases make it fairly obvious he was chasing a bigger platform with a polished commercial sound and the accompanying live show which toured nonstop for many years. It was probably good for his pocketbook, but jeopardized his creative sovereignty.

    • @imDezrt
      @imDezrt Před 3 lety +1

      It all becomes very tricky to comment on as an outsider because it comes down to intention. I feel that he put his creative vision on the backburner in lieu of what seemed 'right' for the industry at the time. When artists do this, they're always going to be a step or two behind. If he had remained completely obedient to the impulse or "muse" which spurred on this album, he'd be much bigger than he is now. The difference is that making the financially 'correct' decision like he made pays out short term profits, whereas obeying the creative impulse doesn't guarantee instant success. You might not get paid for years and then suddenly your old album takes on a life of its own and a massive cult audience. When you make a bonafide contribution to culture, the payoff tends to be delayed, but you get paid back with interest (legacy, influence on other artists, etc)
