    Today Automation is not commercially viable for factory floor tasks that change between shifts. Thats because, Robots are meticulously designed and programmed for a specific task to a precision of 0.1 mm. Even a 0.1mm of change in where the objects are will result in the robots colliding and damaging the parts. If you change the task it will consume anywhere between a week to month to recalibrate to achieve a 0.1 mm of tolerance and would cost several ten thousand dollars.
    If only the robot could dynamically adapt and adjust in real-time to the position of the objects, all this becomes simple.
