@@asmaz5486 Incorrect about early Christianity. There are specific verses that refer to no foods being considered unclean and that it is actually insulting to God to suggest that anything He created is unclean. Acts 11:8-10, Mark 7:15

Marshmallows are not always haram, some are halal. If they had a mark on the package saying halal, or حلال. The reason they are often haram is because they contain gelatin which is commonly made from pigs. But some contain gelatin from cows instead, which is halal 😁.
at whole foods, there are marshmallows that don't use gelatin nor gluten! i wonder if there are other foods on this list like gummy bears that dont utilize gelatin :'D

Yes, same here. But we are in japan and foods have no halal mark so we are forced to use google translate or the rest will be from the halal shops which is very inconvenient as it is very far from my place.
It is rare for sushi rice to use mirin. I have yet to be in a restaurant that uses mirin in sushi rice, and I don't use it when making suchi rice either. Most use rice wine vinegar or sushi vinegar (which is a sweeter rice wine vinegar that has sugar added) and once an alcohol has turned into a vinegar it is halal (Hanbali). There is even a hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW saying "What a good food vinegar is" Sahih Muslim 2051, At-Tirmidhi 1840
All vinegar is made from alcohol and has trace amounts in it... Why are some Muslims so extreme to the point where they don't let themselves enjoy harmless things like Vinegar?
This is super misleading. These aren't haram, there are ingredients in specific products that make them haram. There are halal versions for all the things mentioned. The actual food is not haram, like sushi or ramen. You can get sushi without alcohol and you can get halal ramen. Unfortunately not many people understand this and a whole haram stamp on certain foods with haram ingredients can give people a half informed message.
Fr like she’s just making a bunch of people worried, take a look at the comments people are going crazy like “is my indomie halal? It says halal certified on it but I can never be too sure! 😰😰😰🤔🤔🤔🤔😭😭😭”
I developed a pork allergy. Immediately after I found out I messaged my therapist, who is Muslim, for help finding foods that might have pork hidden in them. And I still bought gf rice crispy treats, ate half the box before remembering marshmallows have gelatin and unless the marshmallows are labeled Halal or Kosher I need to avoid them, you know, if I like breathing.
I've been eating these all my life, but in Muslim countries there is a halal version of everything right? There is even a halal badge on every item. So is it okay?

Some women want the photos to turn out really stunning and their outfit to look better, as many south asian attire looks stunning with specific hairstyles, so some choose not to wear hijab at weddings. This is still haram though, unless the men at the wedding are all the girls’ mahram (people we aren’t allowed to marry islamically). We are still human so we also want to look pretty, so a lot struggle with it. ❤
You can eat Indian variants of Jell-O, Gummy Bears and marshmallows without a worry. They may not be certified halal, but they will be vegetarian for sure.
Sushi rice is not usually made with mirin (at least I thought so). But even with mirin, the amount is so little that it doesn't intoxicate, which makes it not haram (at least to some scholars).
Ahh, good to know. Mirin is a common component in a bunch of Japanese sauces and marinades, like teriyaki sauce. It's so ubiquitous that I wouldn't have thought to warn people about it. Perhaps sashimi would be ok though? And you could ask for plain white rice, though it wouldn't taste the same

Why did that second ramen packet have POVERTY on the label? 🤣
What's actually scarier, people don't connect that desserts and even biscuits and chocolates, ice creams, can have haraam ingredients. We had it drummed into us by Mother to always read the packs (she came over in the 60s and couldn't read English to well at the time, so she trained us to check the packets and let her know. We found it quite shocking that people couldn't connect the fact that even sweet stuff may not be halal. They would always say... 👀.. But it's a chocolate bar!! 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️.. I had no idea it had alcohol.
Some sushi use it some don’t and use vinegar, so if we make it at home it should be okay 🥰
if u live in a muslim country then it could be halal
It's so nice that some companies make halal versions of these though. It really shows how much they care about the different cultures and religions. (Though in America most things marketed as halal are quite a bit more expensive)
You’ll find them for a little cheaper at a middle eastern grocery store :)
I'm not Muslim, I was just mentioning this :) thanks for the tip though, I'll tell my Muslim friend. (They're new to where I am, so I'll see if she knows about it first)

They have like almost a full alle of snacks and such, and then a bunch of other awesome culture items. They are 27 now but they are always happy when I make them food that they can eat, even when I make a lot of canned foods, home made jams/jellies, etc.
We have all the halal version in Malaysia. It’s not that we can’t eat the food. We have to check the ingredients whether it’s halal or haram. Now in Malaysia people are more aware to create these food using halal ingredients. Come to Malaysia and enjoy the food galore of many different culture and countries 😊

You definitely get halal marshmallow, I eat them ALL the time, I live near loads of Asian supermarkets, the ones specialising in South Asian and Middle Eastern foods and you can get them there. Gummy bear too
Fun fact: there are vegan marshmallows and other stuff that are usually Haram / unkosher
Well in Muslim countries they all are made with halal ingredients and is okay to eat! 😄
In our country since it’s a Muslim country everything is 100% halal!

My oldest daughters had so many allergies, and basically had a vegan diet as I get told by other parents. I just tell them "No, they are just allergic to the whole damn world with their allergies! And yes we done an allergy test...." that's how I found out they are severely allergic to eggs, wheat, some dairy, some seafood, and also allergic to some nuts ((almonds, pecans, and pistachios)) I feel so bad when they eat my cooking before the allergy test... 😭😭😭 exdently making them sick with my famous omelette buffet, good thing they arent allergic to pork/beef like my second younger sister is.... they would KILL me if I had to take away their bacon.

As long as the food don't contain pork/gelatine, non certified animal ingredient, or any other haram ingredients (like alchohol), the food is completely halal. As for the ramen noodles, i recommend trying halal certified noodles. Majority of Buldak noodles are halal certified, so it's rly convenient. I think it’s kind of funny that you’re saying “ew!” about marshmallows, whereas if we went to your country/your parents’ country and said “ew!” about a normal food there, we’d be called racist and xenophobic 😂😂😂 You can practice whatever religion you want, but it’s rude to imply something is disgusting just because you dislike/disagree with the way it is made.

Me that ate marmallows 2 days ago:😳
Mirin is different than rice vinegar, it depends on who/where you get sushi from. Not a lot of people use mirin in the sushi from where I’m from.
No ramen? How did you make it thru school...
halal ramen
Vegetable flavor
Halal ramen
Vegetable or hala chicken
There are numerous halal instant noodle especially those from Malaysia or Indonesia. Just that we rarely call it ramen.
*I tried marshmallow for the first time today* 😭😭😭
After watching this video I threw all the marshmallow away 😭
Allah forgive me please 🥺🥺
Marshmallows are not always haram, some are halal. If they had a mark on the package saying halal, or حلال.
The reason they are often haram is because they contain gelatin which is commonly made from pigs. But some contain gelatin from cows instead, which is halal 😁.
@@mello-by but it has to be slaughter halal otherwise it’s not not not not Haram

Yes, same here. But we are in japan and foods have no halal mark so we are forced to use google translate or the rest will be from the halal shops which is very inconvenient as it is very far from my place.
You can eat jello if you buy it in muslim-majority countries like turkey uae or malaysia
Thank you for reminding
Yes
I think that’s why the captions she put in the video are there.

Yes it is ok. All of those foods have HALAL VERSION in most muslim countries. Even Indomie instant noodles is from Indonesia (country with the most muslim population). Of course it is HALAL.

Asallamu Allakum Sister ,when you go to a Wedding ,some wear Hijab ,some don't Why ?
Some women want the photos to turn out really stunning and their outfit to look better, as many south asian attire looks stunning with specific hairstyles, so some choose not to wear hijab at weddings.
This is still haram though, unless the men at the wedding are all the girls’ mahram (people we aren’t allowed to marry islamically).
We are still human so we also want to look pretty, so a lot struggle with it. ❤
