    ***PLEASE NOTE***
The Oly35mm 2015/16 project is now closed and I will not be answering any more comments (as from 1st April 2017).
Thank you to all who have taken the time to watch these videos, and a special thank you to everyone who commented, or added extra information to them.
I wish you all many happy years of using film, or any other photography you enjoy.
    Cheers

Such a great series this one. Thank you again for doing it!
This looks very much better than either of the IS series cameras. Much cleaner and well thought out.

Anyone watching who have dismantled one of these. I have one with the focussing drive/gears spinning and the lens stuck at full extension. I also have a Ricoh Mirai which could be a donor machine but I don't want to wreck both to no avail!

The Achiever 300Ri will work as a flash unit for this camera

Thanks for the information Owen. I only knew about the genuine L-30.

Does this camera have a bulb and manual modes?

Unfortunately not, on both counts. The SS range is 1/2000 to 32s, but no bulb. The only exposure mode is Program Shift; however, you have +/- 4 stops of exposure compensation which would (tediously) get you by as a quasi-manual mode. I would like to suggest the most excellent iS-XXXX series (my favourite is the iS-3000/iS-3/L-3) for that sort of functionality.
