You should've put the one with Chicago and Minnesota a few weeks ago when it was clearly offside but they said it was inconclusive and gave them the goal anyways

Where was the calls?
i wouldn't say 4 was a missed call because that happens all the time it was so quick that it doesn't look like a goal and only with slo-mo you can see it
missed the Joe Sakic goal with the Québec Nordiques where he saktes almost all the ice with the puck before scoring and got his goal refused because of a penalty to québec yhat happen before he even touch the puck....and it was in the playoffs!!

what call was missed in #1?
If a puck hits the netting above the glass it's deemed "out of play" because if it wasnt there the puck would be gone into the stands. The correct call would be no goal, and a faceoff in LA's zone.

Connor // back then there was a rule you could not have your skate(s) inside the goalie crease without possession the argument is from Buffalo it should not be a goal because hull had a skate in the crease and didn't have posession and Dallas argument is the rule was changed before playoffs
Disclaimer: Buffalo fan
Hull's argument was that he had possession before entering the crease, but he did not, so it shouldn't have counted, but nobody realized soon enough that his foot was in the crease. The possession was added to the rule midway through the season because of stuff like breakaways and empty netters.
Was the foot in crease a bad rule? In my opinion, yes, but it was a rule at the time, so the goal shouldn't have counted.

Ok how is the #2 call able to be called one of the top 5 worst blown calls? Not a single referee would ever be able to tell that it completely crossed the line, especially not back then when they weren't able to review calls and even more especially not in the position that the referee was in

Omg number 2 isn't a blown call in the next game of the series (game 7) the ABC broadcast showed a high-tech overhead angle of the play and the puck didn't fully cross the line it only looked like it was in on the replay they showed here because of the sideways camera angle.

Hey, look, its the actual top 5, although I'd put #2 a bit lower myself, but eh that's just an opinion. I want to say there was a goal by Buffalo where they had 5 guys on during a 4 on 4, and the refs missed the too many men.

the first one wasnt a blown call. I dont get why its in this video. The puck clearly went out and they never counted it
it DID count. the ref signaled goal and the play was non-reviewable, so it DID count for detroit.
#4 is not a blown call as the defensive team sent the puck into their own zone.
That's not how the rule works. If it deflects off the defensive team it is still offside. It has to be intentionally passed in. The rule book even mentions that if contact is made with a defender causing the puck to go into the zone it's offside as well. It has to actually be passed or skated into the zone for that rule to apply.

Ed Murphy, no the rule had not changed. The NHL claimed that they sent out a memo saying they rule would not apply to situations in which the goalie maintained control of the puck first, but this wasn't a situation where the goalie maintained control of the puck, it was one where the player kicked the puck to his stick. Again though the rule still was the same, they just claimed they would not call it in certain situations. Also this play wasn't consistent with how they called it that whole season. Honestly I think it's a lame excuse for being scored on, but I understand too that the rule was the rule.

At that time it was. I'm glad they got rid of that stupid rule and I think it's a terrible argument, but technically in those days the rule stated that should have been no goal.
