I just started my own company. Like you, I prefer large properties with clients that care about their gardens as much as I do. I only have 2 so far.
I'm glad I found your channel. Excellent content. Thank you.

Hi Chris, great video as always, so agree with you outlook to clients. I have a few bigger clients and they fully respect all I do for them and I help them in anyway I can down to helping to put up the 15ft Christmas tree up in the hallway every year. I have however in the past had some very big clients who made it quite clear that you are there employed by them to do a job, suffice it to say I only did one season with them and politely opted out. Keep the videos going always a pleasure to watch enjoy the rest of your weekend

Hi Paul, thanks for watching and commenting pal. I too have had clients which have made me feel very unwelcome and talk down a fair amount. Am now very lucky with my clients. Thank you for your continued support pal. Hope you had a good weekend too 👍

Great work as always Chris. I guess only having 5 clients could be considered risky, as if one goes that's 20% of your turnover, but you seems quite happy with it. By the way, maybe wear a hat in the really sunny days. Lee from LHL has a cautionary tale about that.

Without wanting to sounds arrogant I turn regular work away weekly these days. I think at maximum I only ever had 10 clients at one time.

@@TheCountryCottageGardener not arrogant at all, we do too. Everyone finds their own level in this game eventually

Great vid Chris, as for produce I only have a small veg patch at home and by heck there is more than we can consume, our rhubarb is Jurassic size and we have to pick and throw some away in compost.. French beans, beets and others galore! so we give away as much as we can rather than composting it ...keep up the good work pal..👌

I absolutely love rhubarb, my grandad use to eat it raw dipped in sugar 😂 not sure I like it that much 🤣
It's so rewarding growing your own 👍

Another day for you there Chris! Awesome work and a real bonus if the owners are totally happy to let you pic a bit of veg whilst your there. I had a customer say that I should feel free to divide any plants I wish or take cuttings and seed as its me who’s keeping their borders looking good 😊 they’re the customers who are keepers and the ones I will happily work with and for.

Splitting and sharing plants are definitely perks of the job. I got some lovely Dalia's from this job a while back.

Hi Chris, great video. I've seen the videos of you doing great work on this idyllic property and reckon the owner must be delighted with the work you do 👍

Love what you are all about Chris. So many people think that especially if you are a man then you should not love flowers, gardens, animals and nature etc because that's for women or you are a sissy or your are somehow gay as I remember being called at school etc just because I am more in tune with the natural world around me and appreciate it so much. I went vegan 4 years ago because I realized that it was a contradiction to love nature and animals yet be contributing to their misery when let's face it, there is not need to fund the suffering of animals or kill them to eat. You know, so many people who love nature and do things for the planet forget that animal agri is the worst thing of all yet don't act. I am basically saying that I feel you dude, and share your viewpoint! I have recently started gardening and have 2 clients now who are both large beautiful gardens, much rather this than 8 small grass patches per day. My surroundings matter to me. All the best and thanks for making these videos and just being you. Cheers

Thank you for the kind feedback and taking the time to comment. I definitely don't think you can teach passion. It's something you have for the job or not.
I've never really worried or given much thought about what others think of me as a person. I can only be one person 😅
Thanks again for watching and your support 👍👍

Brilliant Chris .... really enjoy your video's. What do you think of the echo battery hedge cutter please?
Love the way you have a relaxed approach to your work.

Hi pal. I like the trimmer but not really had much experience with other battery tools. Maybe I'll try some others this year.
      Thank you for watching

Great video chap - where did you get that t-shirt from? 😀
