luv luv the video* your presentation is mega dope; I'm wondering if there's anything you need to do before or after painting to make the paint last/stay on the clothes?? or should it be fine as long as you wash inside out, air dry, etc etc.?? I'm tryna hop on the game and make custom garments too >:)) as for future vids, I wouldn't mind seeing more of these kind of vids where you're showing us the process and dropping knowledge on us* they're entertaining to watch/listen to and you radiate some really bright energy; keep it up* lotta success comin your way fosho
love this comment so much. All you need to do is put a paper towel over the design and iron it to seal it. also thanks for the suggestion
I just have a little art tip for you when it comes to tracing the design onto the pants that you could try. After you paint your base layer on the back of your image cover it in graphite (try to use a 6B,9B) line it up graphite side down on the painted base and you can trace over all your lines pressing down a bit hard once you trace the entire thing and you take off your image it will leave a sketch underneath :). It's a lot faster and will save you cutting and tracing. Love this video!

when you trace the sketch, you could do it the way the embroiderers do it..you could make holes on the lines on the paper, go through the holes with a pen on the fabric and then connect the dots

if you dont want to mess this really fine brush for outlines i would suggest using a gel pen with white ink! it washes off easily after u r done with ur design!

If you wet a paper towel and put a piece of thin packaging plastic on top and keep your paint on the plastic, it keeps your paint wet for a long time! I learned this from Dollightful's youtube channel!

Nail art brushes are super cheat online and very thin and easy to use on fabric they also very rarely shed bristols into the paint like cheaper brushes do

Awesome work, i love how nice you painted it, it looks amazing when it's done properly. Also here's a tip for transferring a drawing: print a mirrored version of your design, and trace the design in a really dark graphite pencil. Then turn it over and rub it into the fabric (it's easier too if you paint a white background first like you did for this method as well)

Excellent work on dem jeans! They look great and better than anything you could buy! I have some questions: When you wash your jeans, how do they look after? I'm curious how fabric paint holds up. Also, how stiff are they after the fabric paint dries?
Here's teaching feedback from a fellow art teacher: Just focus on the process you use instead of the process you think someone else might find helpful. I'm referring to the part where you cut out the pieces of the dragon. That looked really time consuming and painful. You said you did it to help someone who may want to be more precise but that's not how you'd personally do it. Instead it would have been more helpful if you went over how you created your template of your dragon--freestyle hand drawn? What materials did you use? How did you apply your reference material? Then it would make sense to see that you did not need to cut out and trace your template because you're just re-drawing what you already drew (assuming you freestyled it).
I hope that helps! Your work is super slick and I subscribed instantly since your style is so pronounced and put together. You obviously have talent and I'm thankful you're sharing it here on CZcams with us for free! Keep up the good work!

you should look into Caren D' Ache are supplies from Switzerland they have watercolor colored pencils it would be perfect for tracing on fabric and it will come out in the wash when you finish your jeans. great for drawing out your designs on fabric
