Thanks a lot for this video. It was really helpful. I have a Powerware 5110 which is stone dead, even with the power cord plugged in. No LED, no noise or beep, nothing. I suspected the battery, but I had no clue where the battery was sitting and how to get to it. This video showed me exactly how to remove the front cover in order to reach the battery (which turns out to actually be two batteries). The two screws that are removed at 0:37 in the video are not there on my unit, so I can just slide the lid off directly on mine. But at first, I actually had some trouble sliding it off. It felt like it was completely stuck. Then I figured it out: The trick is to press down with one thumb on the battery cover lid close to the slit where this plastic part stops and crosses over to the next one (the next plastic lid part being the one with the power button). While pushing down there, it’s then possible to slide the cover off easily. The battery connector measures 0.3 Volts for me. That’s not quite right. :D Seems like the unit needs new batteries. It’s interesting by the way that the manufacturers have decided to use lead acid batteries on this UPS. I was expecting some kind of custom battery pack, and was afraid that it would be difficult to get my hands on a new one for that reason. But just ordinary 12V 7.2 Ah lead acid batteries? I can find those in pretty much any hardware store in the block. :)

I bought mine from Amazon in Germany, watch out to get the right one for your 5110. 500i (5Ah, cubic size), 700i (7Ah), 1000i (2x7Ah - this one)
