I would definitely use the faux trees one less plant to worry about. I would have added two of the trellises that would have looked even nicer. Overall love the outdoor rug and those are my favorite chairs. Looks beautiful 😍.

To help your plants grow. You need to loosen up the roots. I noticed you just put them into the ground right out of the pot without doing this step. Gently loosening the roots at the bottom will help them spread out and take root into the soil.
The patio was nice, I especially like the planter screen you put together. And I really liked the watermelon presentation!

Really nice styling. Especially love the planter trellis for the backdrop of the gorgeous chairs and faux cedar trees. I actually got two of the spiral topiary cedars 3 years ago, and they still look great. I have never brought them in. They are in a shaded area and have retained their color all this time.

While I think it turned out fine I was expecting more design elements & inspiration vs items simply placed on a patio. Solar lights just stuck in a planter box? You’re so creative! I almost want to challenge you to come up with an even better idea!!! You are so talented!!!

I live in the Midwest too and have been looking for cute "PATIO" ideas that are wind and weather resilient, love the privacy fence/planter boxes!!
The cleaning solution you made, I added a little Fabuloso to mine for an extra cleaning boost with an amazing scent! Use any all purpose cleaner that you love the smell of. A tsp is all you need. I like the Lavender Fabuloso or the pink Pinalen all purpose cleaner. Also, do not use anything with alcohol in it on wood!
I have fake cedar plants like those on each side of my door! Love the pool noodle hack! I will definitely be trying that one!
Patio. Very Pretty
Love using the citronella in the terra-cotta planter. However, I'd be nervous setting it so close. I'd be afraid of knocking it over or burning myself when I reach for a drink. I think the faux cedar plants look fine but def look unfinished.. you can still see the pool noodles. The rocks don't cover them well enough nor do they appear heavy enough to weigh it down. I would use bags of sand for weight and/or real potting soil to give it a more realistic look. The rug really makes the space look put together and cozy. Great job!
Patio... I love the way you put everything. Love the rug. I have faux plants on my screened-in porch. I use faux plants outside for the parts of my yard that gets no sun.

Your porch looks great! I live in SW Missouri & we have lots of wind too. Also, our back deck faces the west so we can’t enjoy too much in the summer! It’s SO hot. I use fake plants too due to the heat.

Faux plants ok! The green gives a great feel and they won’t get all buggy, be neglected by (me forgetting to water them), or continue to grow and get huge, and what would I do with something that size in the winter? I say go for it!
