you should try some cobalt blue for the darker warmer parts of the sky and then fade into the cooler blue near the horizon that you usually use. great videos as always!

There is one thing I would like to know and that is what Gel are you using for the underpainting? Is it the Non-Toxic Solvent-Free Gel Medium or some other one? I can buy the solvent free one in Australia.

Are you using canvas or another more firm metarial for detail works? I do landscape oil painting as well but it is not easy for me to use tiny brushes on canvas for such detailed work. I would like to know of it is me or the equipment I choose. (I use da vinci as tiny brushes)

Kevin I have noticed alot of painters using oil do different with the base layer. Some use a medium or put a base coat and I noticed you dont. Is this because of easier detail for you?

I have been watching your videos since I was about 15 and I really love your paintings. I want to start to learn how to oil paint and I am having a hard time finding a surface to use. most brands of canvas are out of my price range. I thought about building my own canvas and gesso it myself. any suggestions? I would like to be able to use the same type of techiques that you follow, I found things like oil painting paper online do you ever use that? what type of canvas do you typically use?

Does Kevin place medium on the canvas beforehand or does he just use it as he goes?
Gloupydo Not usually. Sometimes he adds a bit to the sky area to help with blending.
