I cannot agree more cause i can't stand to buy a bottle of so call special sauce to make just one dish and let the bottle sit in the valuable space in the refrigerator. Next time if i need that sauce, either A) do not remember i still have it, B) found out that bottle was expire 2 years ago or C) bottle dry up or mold on top.

When mentioning thin sliced the beef , i usually taking advantage of the situation when the beef still frozen , using slicer ( machine) to do the job , conveniently perfect for any occasion !

@@McFattyHK 香港人的口味回憶,都係酒樓果種大大塊的牛柳,仲要好嫩,anyway,屋企煮,點都要改動下,可以煮得似模似樣,就掂了!

@@McFattyHK thx for responding, much appreciated! If I use A1, could the sauce be A1+tomato paste+brown sugar+vinegar+maggi? Tomato paste for more colour?
Cooking tip: DO NOT remove the brown bits from the pan after searing the beef! They add extra flavor to your sauce!!!!!!
If I was not shooting the dish for youtube, I would definitely take all the flavorful brown bits. 🙈
Fond, or the brown bits, is a major ingredient in making sauces. All 紅毛人, cooking schools teach that.

啱呀,鐵鑊長時間煮酸嘢(如兩、三小時)唔適合㗎
但只係兜勻幾分鐘就無咩大礙 ,放心。外國America’s test kitchen做過相關測試,短時間煮酸嘅食物,結果生鐵鑊冇明顯損害。
