  • An absolutely gorgeous expression of retrofuturist design from Jo Wyn who also designed the Apollo Intensa. The Apollo also donates its carbon platform and v12 to this second-ever prototype, but the production car coming in 2021 will run a Ford Racing V8 possibly from Roush Racing. Ford V8s are in DeTomaso’s DNA since the P70 original. Pricing for this machine and USA road-legal machines are almost finalized at around $900k and will be distributed by Miller Motorcars of Greenwich CT.

The P72 will remain highly exclusive and only 72 timepieces will be produced. Whilst having a cutting-edge, world-class chassis the P72 features a design with perpetual beauty and a proper manual transmission. A car for all generations. Full technical specifications will be revealed in due course. The base price for the P72 is determined at $1,000,000 USD

More like a bootleg Pininfarina P4/5, doesn't look like ANY previous DeTomasos, has some exterior proportion flaws... but I still think it's beatiful!
    The interior is FLAWLESS!

The car is sitting NEXT to the ONLY DeTomaso P70 from 1964 (done jointly with Carrol Shelby) which is the inspiration for the project and the guy never even mentions it. Clueless. Pay attention to your history when you're gonna talk about the designer and his inspirations. Do your research.

Then Shelby left & De Tomaso was so angry he named his next car the Mangusta which means mongoose. The only animal that hunts "cobras".

I guess 5 minutes wasn’t enough time for him to show us a full lateral view of this car, so I shall look elsewhere. Nice clip overall though.
