About The Game:
It's the Merc with two mouths! Deadpool travels to the Savage Land to retrieve what might be the deadliest bioweapon the universe has ever seen. What is this deadly object? Well, Deadpool's employer is being a little vague about that. Let's just say when the secret is finally revealed, it's enough to throw even the Merc with two mouths for a loop...Oh hell, we can't keep a secret, it's the severed-but-still-hungry head of the Marvel Zombies: Deadpool! To save the universe, Deadpool must team up with himself to dodge Hydra operatives, dinosaurs, cavemen and zombie cavemen as he attempts to take his not-so-precious cargo back where it came from: the Marvel Zombies Universe.

Deadpool is my favorite superhero all together. He's not only kickass, but also a very fresh character, beingvery open about his sexuality, never cracks jokes that are too uncalled for. And even though he's crazy and violent, he'd never hurt someone he cares for. He's all the stuff he is in this game, and more.
I love that when you 100% complete the game, you get the achievement "Okay you can sell the game now"

I had the same reaction to this game as you did, I went in with pretty low expectations from the reviews, and I ended loving how much fun the game actually was.

why do people complain about Hack n' Slasher being short? you know what gets repetitive? play a hack n' slash for 50 hours.... these games are the length they need to be at. 5-9 hours is fine for this genre. The 2 biggest games of this genre, Devil May Cry and God of War, aren't that long either.
Devil May Cry also avoids the repetitiveness issue by having multiple characters to play as, who play very differently from one-another.
God of War avoids repetition by repeatedly varying enemy types based on location, and by how the different weapons interact with the enemies

@@ggs27 No one completed it because the game has a around 1750+ ish achievements that need unlocking. The achievements need to be completed multiple times because of the way they are set up. E.g, reaching level 10 on Normal, hard, harder, etc. all count as a separate achievement to the grand achievement total, also doing them for the 2 games modes, one of which is one life only, count as achievements themselves for the achievements too

I like this game, sure it gets repetitive and I've played better hack and slash games, but it NAILS the humour and character of deadpool, the gameplay is fun enough that I want to keep playing and it has some really funny moments (the bit when you repeatedly slap an unconscious wolverine is priceless!!)
If you think Deadpool is overpowered just wait until you see Franklin Richards

Very nice video! I'm gonna be seeing Deadpool later this week and am PUMPED for it. Also, you convinced me to consider buying this Deadpool game. I heard it was mediocre, but you shed some new light on it.
I love this game. I rarely replay games, but replayed this one. Really makes you feel like you're playing as Deadpool. Great writing and VO. Awesome sound design /effects. Very satisfying combat. Short game. Some frustrating content. The final stage was a letdown. But still very VERY fun. Good times.
3 years ago - plaed the game not knowing who the hell Deadpool is. Loved the game and especially the humour, just like Jirard I liked it more than my friends. Met a girl that was playing it as well. We went out and a relationship based on this guy started. And now we have a brilliant movie. Excellent.

I played the game before I heard the movie was being made so when I saw that first test clip that leaked, I was like "I don't give a f*** if that movie is rated R, I'm going to see that s***!" and I did not regret it. I loved the game, I loved the movies, I love Deadpool. Great review!

The Gambit clones are a pain in the ass in the Deadpool game. When they are hit they just run up to you so they can explode to attack you. And there are so damn many of them.
Awesome review as always Jirard. I do like explaining what you went through to get 100%. It's a nice new added detail that makes the reviews more interesting.
I really hope they make a sequel. And use what they learned to improve upon Thier work. The game was so much fun the first few times around, and fun to trophy hunt for. High moon or whoever succeeds them really need to turn his into a franchise, I think.

Lady Death was designed perfectly in that game, and I hope they use that design for the Deadpool sequel.
I really wish Jirard gave himself more time to make these videos. Putting a video together like this takes a ridiculous amount of effort - and, while the videos all LOOK great, the writing suffers on a somewhat regular basis.
I get that he wants to release episodes on a weekly basis, but it seems like a general schedule overhaul would help with the quality of the episodes. Maybe something more akin to traditional TV seasons - completing games and writing scripts during an 'off-season' before releasing the episodes weekly.
I personally do agree. Not only because quality would likely increase, but just because the guy needs a break. Unfortunately, though, I don't know if it'll ever happen. CZcams has become very toxic in multiple ways over the years. One of those is that while plenty of reasonable people understand that sometimes waiting for episodes can mean an increase in video quality, most will simply constantly bug the content creator about when the next video is coming out. Jirard just doesn't want to see something like that happen, I guess, so I don't think it's very likely he'll be taking any breaks any time soon :(
+J.P. Gahwyler There's also the issue that if he doesn't make regular content, his income could be affected significantly... It affects the discoverability of the channels, some people are weird and unsubscribe when they don't get regular content... Not that subscribers like that are super important, but I imagine it helps a bit if they stay... But yeah, from what I hear, regular content is generally pretty important... Even if they don't still have that stupid thing where, if you don't watch stuff from a channel, or whatever, for a while, sometimes you wouldn't get notifications because it didn't think you really cared...
I dunno, while the content could be better... I still think it's pretty good... It'd be nice if Jirard could take things a bit easier, I worry a bit about his health, but, when hearing him on Super Beard Bros., he normally seems to be having a blast, though obviously not always... I dunno, maybe there's a better balance to be had... I'm not sure how exactly though... Ah well...

my main problem is that it focused too much on the humor and not enough on the other darker parts of deadpool.
this particular writer is known and somewhat reviled for writing sillier Deadpool.
daniel way wrote for the deadpool comics between the years 2008 to 2012. this time contains the headpool arc, the deadpool corp series, and even a time where deadpool looses his healing factor and works with shield. these comics lead to the point when deadpool steals dracula's bride to be shiklah, the queen of monsters. and at that point deadpool becomes world famous, has a crew of deadpools, works with shield, rules over the monster world, and tries to dead with and be a part of his daughter's life. sure, there are funny moments, but there are ALOT of serious moments filled with emotion and character development. hell that arc leads to secret war where deadpool hides the resistance, and saves everyone with information, but is labed as a bad guy because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. and i haven't even talked about madcap, the yellow box.

High Moon did a good job. keep in mind their previous games were the Transformers Culbertson games. those were amazing and genuinely felt like Transformers. Fall of Cybertron was the best Transformers move to come out.

Huge Deadpool fan but what took me out of this game was this version of the character. Personally I always disliked this purely irreverent and disconnected Deadpool who is too cartoony and almost godlike. I like the more vulnerable and down to earth deadpool (you know relative to deadpool) like in Joe Kelly"s run or the movie. This felt like they had to shove so much deapool in this that they lost any characterization.

Thank You!!! I thought I was the only one who enjoyed the hell out of the game, I still keep replaying it because of it's humor and unique kills and point sets. A lot of people don't realize that this is how he's suppose to be, off the wall crazy that is more for comedy and action and not somethin that is meant to be taken seriously. Nolan North and Ryan Reynolds are the best people to play Deadpool.

This game was such a great surprise for me when it came out. I know the ending is kinda meh, but you already fought the dude before... It made me laugh when it just ended like that. I think, for a Deadpool game, this game is perfect and it couldn't be any better then this! I pleordered it for the 360 and completed it that weekend. And played it 4 more times after that in the following 2 months. I had such a blast and it really gave me a nostalgic feeling of the older not so long late 80's and early 90's games. A game doesn't need to be long for it to be a good game. And again, for a Deadpool game, I think they did the best job they could. Now in 2023 I can't find the game anywhere anymore and it makes me sad. Especially with 'Deadpool

Loved this game when I played it but this video just reminded me of one pet peeve about it. Can't stand how small the heads are to the bodies. Plus I recall the design for Deadpool was different when the game was announced to what was in the final game

Deadpool made me happy. If you don't accomplish being silent in the mission when you sneak up to Mr. Sinister after several times, Deadpool just skips that part.
