  • How To Calculate Load Of A G+1 Building | Column Load Calculation | Structural Design | Column load
In this video we learn that how to calculate load of a residential G+1 building which is act on Footing. This load calculation is very important to design a Column and its footing. in this video we calculate all types of loads ehich is act on a residential G+1 building as per IS Code 875 Part 1 and Part 2.
We calculate the following loads in this video:
    1. Dead load of a R.C.C Slab
    2. Dead load of RCC Beam
    3.Dead load of Column
    4.Dead load of Brick Masonry
    5. Live load on residential building.

At 31:00 1st floor to plinth level load mye parapet wall ka load nikalna hai aur plinth level to footing mye main wall load add karna hai. remaining explanation good thank you
1st floor to plinth level load = (Half of factored load of B1 - Half of parapet wall load) + (Half of factored load of B2 - Half of parapet wall load) + (Roof slab load)
    = [63.84 - (6.9 x 1.5)] + [108.15 - (6.9 x 2.5)] + 97.47
    = 53.49 + 90.9 + 97.47 = 241.86 KN
    ∴ Height of column = 9.15m
Plinth level to footing load = (Half of PB1 weight + Half of main wall load) + (Half of PB2 weight + Half of main wall load) +column self weight
    = (1.5 x 2.59 + [1.5 x 18.63]) + (2.5 x 2.59 + [2.5 x 18.63]) + (0.23 x 0.40 x 9.15 x 25)
    = 31.83 + 53.05 + 21.045 = 105.925 KN
    Total load on column C1 = 241.86 + 105.925 = 347.785 KN

Load on triangular section of slab is 32.49 Kn. and trapizoidal section load 75.16 Kn. 1/3 requires when measures center of gravity of triangular. area is 1/2 base x altude

Groundfloor wall load not added; every time, main wall load + parapet wall load is getting added

My friend there are many civil engineers post on youtube but your videos are the best. Thank you for taking time and sharing this knowledge. I do have comment. 1) why you have not responded to any questions? 2) can you provide the PDF or Power point file so it would be easier to practice?
    Thanks again.
