Good interview, doesn't drag his questions out like most nit letting people talk. Good work
👏🏼👏🏼
Are barbers shut in Newyork
its easy to see joes frustrations with sport , he is very correct a one league table like Englands premier league is needed and fights and belts in all bodies should carry weight to that position in world boxing rankings, tennis has one world ranking and there are various tournaments , boxing needs to find a way to preserve the prestige and legacy of past fighters while making it easy to all fights and casual fans who the best really are
Shows the state of boxing where we are holding up fights due to paying people NOT to fight instead of just getting on with it and letting them all fight each other instead.
I can understand the need for some rematch clauses but they're causing other fights which could potentially happen to be pushed further down the line by around a year at a time.
AJ vs Usyk 2 was going to be in March, now looking like it might be May... odds are if it goes ahead it'll be in June and then the winner of that fight will probably not fight the winner of Fury vs Whyte until the following year.
👍😊
Just want to know what is happening with Whyte v Fury
Tomorrow or 6pm Friday
People knock Eddie, and I suppose most of the criticism is pantomime, but you can't doubt his ability to handle the media & to raise the levels of interest in boxing. Hope DAZN continues to invest in Boxing & do well with Boxing but it seems the Pandemic came at exactly the wrong time for them with all their investment & as a result it seems like they are swimming upstream 🏊
He helps to reduce interest levels in boxing by consistently failing to get the best fights made due to his obsession with beating his promotional and broadcasting rivals
WBA are the worst governing body , regular title is a joke . Great for a fighter like Leigh wood who can use it as leverage but you can’t unify with it , same as wbc franchise
Joe's frustrations with boxing underlines why dazn's boxing venture has failed and will continue to fail. It's a sport that lets you down more than any other and that's why people aren't paying a monthly subscription for boxing alone
If AJ doesn't fight Usyk he gains financially but loses all respect from fight fans and dare I say becomes a laughing stock.
You’re pushing it a bit far, it’s not like anyone else in the division is doing anything better. Up to this point AJ is the only one who hasn’t taken an east option but yeah, it’s not a good look.
@@saulwest8254 the funny thing is that AJ can make more than that fighting the rematch which he is contracted to. This is not about him not deserving it, it's more a matter of contact. Funny how everyone wants him to step aside for Undisputed but no one was pushing for Wilder to step aside for Undisputed. Despite the ruling Fury still could have paid Wilder to step aside so he could fight Joshua he just chose not to. But now AJ should step aside? Make it make sense.
Yup 💯. He loses his credibility that he worked so hard to build and the money isn't worth it at all.
I’ve got friends who I used to watch boxing with, who have now all gone over to UFC and don’t even show any interest in boxing purely because of the politics and rankings not making sense, franchise belts, fights not being made because of promotions, it is a shame i love both MMA and boxing but you can’t help but notice you dream up a fight in the UFC it happens, there rankings are clean and make sense where as boxing usyk isn’t ranked with the WBC why ?
GGG isn’t in certain rankings it makes no sense.
there rankings need to be more aligned
And the promoters need to learn to work together better,
Even all the different platforms turns people off
Sky, DAZN, BT, ESPN
How many apps do I need to fucking have
😂
Champions, interim champions and signed to fight title contenders do not get ranked by other governing agencies.
Examples:
Usyk as WBO, IBF, WBA champ won't be ranked with WBC.
Trevor Bryant as WBA regular champion won't be ranked with any others.
If Dillan Whyte signs to fight Fury he'll drop out all other rankings even before they fight.
Hope this helps 👍
@@Ds-zv6oo ahhh
That makes much more sense
@@Ds-zv6oo I still think franchise champ and super and regular puts a lot of people off just one champion for each and maybe an interim
Sorry Eddie katy taylor would tank ppv
Don't do it fury will retire then contract stands for nothing unless he was to fight someone els with the belts don't do it 🤣😅😂
Dazn won't give there UK subscriber's numbers because it's less than 100k and Eddie thinks he can put Fury v Whyte on dazn ppv which would need over 1 million buys
