This is truly an elevation of music. Loved seeing you guys turning on as the song progressed. This album is going to go places you don’t expect, but this is at its core what Sleep Token is.
As Sleep has returned seemingly to stay Vessel is in bliss. He gives himself freely as a token offering to Sleep. This IS the sleep token. It’s truly worship music. He’s declaring his love in her presence (forgetting about the enormous amount of time she has been absent in this, it’s a glimpse into what Vessel as a person is willing to accept for himself… red flag.)
The beauty of the piece is how gentle and ferocious he is with her. “You are a garden entwined with all. You are a silence on sacred shores.” You are my peace. You are my beauty, a garden entwined with all. Not just beautiful to me, ALL BEAUTY IS YOU. You are solace incarnate. “You have diamonds for teeth, my love, so take a bite of me this once.” He is all in. Her mouth… her means of consumption is dazzling. He wants to be consumed in his love for her. He wants her so consumed for him. It’s saturated in sweat. He wants the gifts she can bestow. He wants the damage no matter the cost because he believes it will make him a better version of himself. Or he just sees it as the change he needs. He’s looking for his completion in her. And if that means the evacuation of everything that once was so be it (red flag!).
This time though… Sleep doesn’t run. Sleep allows it. She doesn’t seem to actually want to be there. She needs him though. It seems Sleep does not want to let him to his own devices anymore. It seems she draws him close and indeed takes a bite. Vessel falls in love here. His infatuation is peaked and he seems to be liking the fact that she is finally taking an interest. He is out of his memories. He is out of his depression. He can live in his lust for a moment and that’s all to Sleep’s gain. Willfully distracted Sleep can feed on his desperation and the lack of self esteem. These are the good times…. Remember this. lol.
I do not know what the symbols mean. I know that some call it Dalek others call it Futhark (I think?) the symbols are intentional and ancient and each song on Sundowning has one. They are combinations of multiple symbols but I’m not sure what they actually mean. Sleep Token’s logo is also a Sigil with its own meaning. People better with that kind of knowledge can break those down.

This song is still one of my favourite Sleep Token songs. It may be nostalgia at play as this was only the second song I ever heard from Sleep Token, and it's the one that got me hooked! Another great reaction! Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

This is the main song of this album, the "comercial one".
Just to give an idea on how much this band grew up in the last year, this song, today has 29.700.000 plays in spotify.
The main song of the next album "alkaline" wich used to be their top sond, has now 46.700.000 plays, and the same album has "hypnosis" wich comes close to "The offering", having 26.000.000 plays.
Meanwhile in the last album, released in 2023 has 6 songs wich have more listeners than "the offering".
"The Summoning" (now Sleep token most heard song) has over 105.400.000 plays, now.
Three songs in the last album have more than 46.000.000, wich is number that the old "main song" has NOW.
Also just wanted to say that Vessel still will have an improvement with in the next 2 albums. small but noticible, so yeah, he can do more than that.
And one more thing, this track does have the same tribal feel as sepultura, sad to see them go since I'm brazilian.

I just love how they combine melodic with djenty riffs and all the little nuances in the background and layered vocals…like you can go back and listen and keep picking out things you didn’t hear before! Also, that filthy breakdown at the end gives me major Rage Against the Machine vibes!

You know I think those symbols are electrical symbols. Like if you were an electrical engineer these Symbols that they use would be symbols You would use like an electrical print or something. I wouldn't doubt that.These would be some type of electrical symbols.Because vessel is legit like a super genius. Like his symbolism his lyrics the depth of stuffy he talks about it's just it is crazy. For instance, in the song telemeers.He talks about a black hole but not as something bad or evil or Menacing but as something beautiful.
