  • There are many ways to convert a stock Epson XP-15000 printer for DTF (Direct to Film) printing, but this is by far the easiest.
    You can find helpful links, below:
    DTF Inks, Film and Powder: jwdigitalsuppl...
    Epson XP-15000 Driver: epson.com/Supp... (Make sure you download the driver, by itself - you don't want any additional Epson resources, piggybacking their way onto your system)

In many cases, we are simply offering information on a specific aspect of a specific segment of this industry - trying to address a specific question, so to speak. I didn't set out to teach anyone how to run a DTF printing business, start to finish - I simply wanted to show how easy it is to convert an XP-15000 printer for those who are interested in dipping their toes in the water. Adding a bulk ink system and applying a RIP, for instance, are generic industry information - my assumption is that most people who will benefit from this video are those who have explored these items in more detail as they determine whether DTF is a good option for them.

    Hello quick question when you’re setting up the ink what color order should they be in and it should be 2 whites correct in replacement of GY , R . So C , W ,W , Y, M , BK Is correct right?

    • @jwdigitalsupply9944
      @jwdigitalsupply9944  Před 2 lety +8

      This is correct - use the default CMYK channels and replace the remaining colors with white ink. Of course, the RIP you choose will also likely have the ability to define custom ink channels - this would allow you to load the ink in any order you wish.

    Just a question, why do you need to remove the rollers? was just wondering

    • @cluelesssoldier
      @cluelesssoldier Před rokem

      Removing the rollers simply prevents them from streaking the wet ink. When printing as a stock unit, the paper is dry before the rollers make contact. However, with DTF ink and film, the ink is still wet when it passes through the rollers. Removing them can eliminate the streaking which would normally occur.

      Not necessarily. We recommend refilling the OEM carts, until you get a good handle on the whole operation.
