    Dude thank you so much for recording and posting these videos. We don't really have a training program at our company and these videos have been extremely helpful. I actually understand this remote area stuff now so that's cool. Wish there was more!

    Not sure if you're still taking his classes, but if so I would love for more videos. These have been really helpful and he keeps things very simple and easy to comprehend!

    When you perform hydraulic calculations on a combined system, do you include the 1-1/2 dia. fire hose cabinet? If so, do you use 65psi and 100gpm as the residual pressure and flow, respectively in the analysis??

    Hi, I have a question. When performing hydraulic analysis of combined sprinkler systems, shiuld you include the fires hose cabinet in the analysis ? I have been looking for answer to this question, i hope you could help.

    hi Nick thanks for this video very helpful but sorry for this stupid question, what is the benefit of having a reduced design area?

    • @I_WasHere
      @I_WasHere  Před 5 lety

      Its less sprinklers to take into the calc, so its less water of a water requirement that has to be accounted for your design area. You should take a reduction any time its possible to do so. For instance i recently had a calc that with standard response heads and a 1500 sqft remote area did not work hydraulically. But when designed with quick response sprinklers and a reduced area size, the calculations did work

      @@I_WasHere ok i had to think deeply on that, but still have no idea why the standard response heads did not work hydraulically on 1500 sqft. but the quick response did. Though on the lesser water requirement part, i think i understood, and it is that by looking thru the Density/Area curve characteristic, as the area is reduced, the density tends to increase, but even though increase, you still gonna end up having a reduced sprinkler water demand, as area is multiplied by density. I know this will be demanding but would appreciate if can correct me if im wrong.

      Its more of a work training program thats company funded. So youd have to work for the company to go. Personally im newer to the industry as well so i should hope to be adding more videos as i go
