Ok I'm seeing ppl who dont really get what he's saying so I'll try to break it down piecemeal. Trump is a gangsta: so doc seems to be using gangsta as a negative in that he himself sees in himself except trump manifests it in his outside persona with the things that he says Comedy tangant: this tangent is long but leads back into the original topic that the fact that trump is being "gangsta" in his image is a contradiction to his actual human condition [where]. Post comedy section: Where we all see a powerful man who in part we think/thought was being "honest in his gangstaness" to put it one way and "different" than other politicians that he exposed for being the plastic figurines that they were. However when he's in office he essentially (in many, not all ways) does the same sorts of things that the previous presidents had done. [Reading this back in many respects kind of like Obama if we being real about it. ] (Quickly On the accountability statement: of course trump was held accountable as a business by his financial stability but that was something trump had mastery in so it's not necessarily the same idea of accountability thats held in The Office. ie: saying Phil Jackson is accountable as a GM purely based on his skill as a Coach Socialism and Communism: This one is a fun one to see about. Doc claims that the Democratic experiment was not slavery, in fact it is the decision the original settlers made to dominate the natives that lived here then he goes on with the history of the United states social-government system (in which I cannot pick out an inaccuracy anywhere in there and I checked most of it). SOME of us in America seem to have a delusion that our Democratic Capitalists society has fewer or more acceptable blemishes/atrocities than other forms of govt just because it is the most successful. And because of that delusion of "purity" (to borrow the term used) we would deem those that on the outside of that mindset as "impure", not realizing that the those same people (dem socialist types) are the very people that have built the framework of the social construct we live in today. (MLK, James Dewy etc. etc.) And that these figures are the ones who had scraped the ideas of freedom that we as Americans hold so dear. But just because they are socialist types it doesn't mean that they are "communist". However when you go look this Fallacy of Purity it becomes easier to understand how we constantly fall into the trap. The Fallacy of "Purity":This fallacy has been used over and over again in our history. "The thing WE have (Race, Religion, Government etc.) is Pure and Perfect in every way, But THEY (insert from above parenthesis) aren't like it/ dont like it/want to change it. Don't worry though because I am here to KEEP OUR PURE THING PURE!" This fake quote can be used ad the basis for any form of atrocity, oppression, and social injustice in our history, from slavery/racism in the west to Nazism in the east in 20th century. Hell you can even say that quote exists in political ideologies we see at odds today. It's a constant lesson in our history we fail to really learn from and all that really changes is the ppl that say it. However Doc said something that was the half-inspiration for me to write this. In the example given in the clip,once we come to realize that you can accept that Marx was right on the money (pun) with a few things he predicted about capitalism WITHOUT being a marxists, or put more simply be able to allow oneself to accept ideas/critiques without 1. Becoming so offended that you demonize those that would dare think those thoughts and learn nothing from others. And 2. Without being so easily swayed by sweet words that your mind as an individual with experiences is cast aside in favor of the loudest voice. I have done both of these things before, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Doc does say the Marx Quote above but two sentences later he goes through the very large and fundamental problems of Communism. Which means he took the idea, found the good, critiques the questionable, and in the end there is a new understanding.
