The Cold War lasted a LOOONG time. During that time, a whole lot of really smart people put a lot of effort into designing weapons specifically to defeat Russia. Now, we're seeing the results of that 70+ year effort.
Of course, those weapons have been aided by the rampant corruption & plain incompetence of Russian commanders.
Yup almost everything was designed to stop the Soviet union in the Fulda Gap from the M-1 Abrams to the A-10 warthog
Scientists think the Russians have been bluffing this whole time. Their entire military structure is a joke.
@@peterthompson8014 I feel the CIA and the United States knew all along but the fear of a big bad Soviet -russian Bear helped justify their military budget
I wouldn’t be too cocky though. “3rd World“ countries with Russian backing (Vietnam, Afghanistan) have effectively stopped American forces.
"Delivers an extremely emotional event to the crew inside" 🤣
What's even better about those.. They are smart... So smart in fact they won't shoot our equipment... You can't shoot an Abrams with a javelin.won't happen.
I think one of the things people overlook is the ability of the US to work together. I know it is cliché but the ability of the infantry, armor, close air support, fast movers, guided missiles from destroyers and subs is mind boggling and hasn’t been fully unleashed in the modern era.
Gulf War
@@rayquaza1245 only 2/3 personnel, 1/2 of total armor such as tanks etc, 1/3 of US aircraft, 1/2 of US carriers, 1/3 guided missile destroyers, and only 1/5 ballistic missile subs were involved in Desert Storm. Like I said, US hasn’t fully unleashed in the modern era. Hope I don’t come off as a jacka**. Definitely not my intention 👍
@@mythoughts5615 No man you are right. If it came down to us using everything we have... The enemy wouldnt stand a chance even if we fought combined forces. Ya know China, Russia and so on.
Another key difference is training and command structure and tradition. May sound trite, until you consider that within various battlefield ranks, much latitude is given to soldiers, Marines and airmen to spot weaknesses in enemy forces or better position for US assets and EXPLOIT THOSE. Russian military are taught to obey senior command and not operate without specific orders from say company or higher command. Initiative outside command is not a feature Russian, or Soviet, or Imperial Romanov forces, exercise.
i heard something from a WWII veteran that went something like "if you fire and the enemy responds with mortars, rifle, and aircraft it's the British, if you receive machine gun and accurate artillery it's the Germans, area rockets and submachine guns it's the Soviets, and if the whole world starts blowing up around you from every direction with every weapon it's the Americans.
I like how the narrator at 3:02 describes the second charge as "An extreme emotional event". 🤣
The U.S. never develops and deploys a weapon, without also having a way to defeat it. That way if enemy gets a hold of the tech, the U.S. isn't worried because they have a way to defend against it.
Yes and yes.
I'm sure there is all kinds of crazy shit that we don't even know about. They just bring out the most obsolete of their new toys every time some other country starts getting close to the capability of what they are already deploying. The F-22 first flew 25 years ago and the US government still won't allow it to be exported.
I'm American and I do a lot of work with weapons/equipment manufacturing. It's extremely difficult work and has very strict with standards. We have very smart hardworking people dedicated to create these items but at the same time innovating for other manufacturing processes, improving energy, healthcare, and general safety. So as we contribute to a strong military we also contribute to a better world overall. It's extremely rewarding. You'd be surprised with how many small companies and start ups try to enter this industry to improve many things and get the slice of the profits.. even right from their garage.
Stinger is basically a small version of the US AIM-9 Sidewinder Heat Seeking Missile, the first versions of the AIM-9 were used in the early 1950's!.
Bot the current version of the AIM-9 and the Stinger are said to be able to differentiate between the airplane's engine(s) and the flares that the aircraft tries to use to protect themselves from heat seekers!
The shoulder missile firing unit expels the rocket gas out the back - which is open to the air, so not too much kick.
Like a recoilless rifle . Just don't be behind the shooter .
92% your target incinerates after pulling the trigger. Pull, forget, move to next target
Bringing T62's out of museums to fight but you're about to mass produce your own 2×Switchblade? Neat! Lol
It is going to have to be a clockwork, steampunk drone with their need to depend upon washing machine chips for their weapons.
@@Markle2k lol. Russians. Washing Machines.
Vodka powered (MPC's) Mounted Potato Cannon's.
We have been fighting wars since before we were a country, and are still fighting today. The little down time we get between those wars, is used to be more prepared for the next one. Also, great job, Millie!
Yes we do. Thats what we do. Train and fight. I miss my Marine Corps and Army days. Im to old now tho lol
@Cygnus X-321 Because we people of rhe U.S. be crazy, shooting at each other all day! Lol But no seriously, behind every blade of grass. And I'm a fairly liberal Democrat. We Americans just love to argue until someone attacks us or our friends.
@@cygnusx-3217 I think it's because if it wasn't the United States, an enemy would take it's place. It comes down to a lot more than war, but also the overall economy and standards. If it wasn't the United States, it could be Russia or Iran, but most likely China. So in a case the USA decides not to, China would take over and they'd be the new super power we'd have to look to.
@Cygnus X-321 Truthfully if you look at it pure strategically. Seems to be more about creating instability in a region that historically have been allies with Russia. That atleast to me seems to be the only common denominator .
"If you would have peace, prepare for war." Or another one I like "where there is mutual fear, countries will think twice before making war upon one another."
The quality of the videos being picked has gone up exponentially since Millie took over 😂😂😂😂just Kidding You do a great job as well James
I thought Millie had on a Russia sweatshirt at first. 🤣🤣🤣 I was like Damn!
🤣 🤣 I believe Millie's light blue shirt says Russell Athletics, not Russian Athletics hahaha
@@joshjones6072 Yep! I definitely noticed that pretty quickly, but for a quick sec, my brain saw Russia and I was super bummed! 🤣🤣🤣
He seems to like Russia and China. Schwarzkopf he’s not.
Honestly, the fact some of these weapons are working so well for the Ukes, is that our military designed them specifically to counter armor and technology that we thought Russia had during the Cold War. An absolute MASSIVE amount of our military technology up until the 90's was developed to counter Russian counterparts, because we were under the impression they posed such a huge threat. It turns out, they pocketed most of the funds for their military while we were pumping trillions of dollars into ours. The only reason we haven't run over Russia entirely is because of its nukes. In all likelihood, most of their nuclear weapons don't even work, while we've been expanding on our delivery systems. (And for good reason, no one really wants to resort to that).
We don't have free Healthcare because we spend so much on Unhealthcare
we don't have free healthcare because we have a huge health insurance industry that would be out of business if healthcare was free.....
They cant deal with 14 HIMARS but think thy can take on our 400!?
NGL, she's knocking it out of the park!
Thank you both so much for keeping this content out here for us! This video should be called "Why the grind can't stop the Beesleys from making vids". Cheers.
Never give in, never surrender
👍🤠
I agree! Love those stingers! Great job, Millie!
Always never give up!
I like your comments about the military pumping money into items we don’t know about. The US department of defense did an audit in 2022 and can’t account for two-thirds of its money and property.
Haha. We had atomic weapons in 1944. I wonder what we have now that the general public doesn't know about. Way more than you think is the answer.
Nice video! Thanks y'all!😊❤
That’s one thing that a lot of NATO countries don’t understand, the USA doesn’t have free health care because we have to spend so much money defending other countries.
It’s the main thing I hear UK and Canadian citizens complain about when it comes to the US. But they don’t realize if the US didn’t spend as much money as it does on our military...they wouldn’t have free health care either. Their own countries would have to spend that money on their own military.
probably for the best
Hello Millie . Bravo Zulu from a US Navy vet . Check out the US Navy's EA 18G Growler jet sometime .
I normally dislike the cartoonish videos like this. But it was actually pretty detailed and engaging.
After building up 70 + years of planning to fighting the Soviet Union or Russia in the Cold war and we didn't get a chance now the pentagon's got a HARD-ON with all of its new toys to see what they do against Russia 🪆
Thanks guys. This animated type of video makes it easier for me to learn the basics about our military. You can do more of them as far as I'm concerned. 😀
The CZcams Channel is called Infographics. It's great. Enjoy.
Infographic is biased propaganda crap. Russia can stop and has been advancing quite a while now. Not to mention their new upgrades on Pantsir has on video shot down 12/12 himars missiles. I wonder what kind of excuse media will make when Ukraine and US lose in Ukraine. Probably will say we killed 10 billion russians so its still a win lol.
The Ukrainian government is as corrupt as the Russians were in the 90s they won't let the men leave they force him to fight
Ukraine is the biggest waste of taxpayer money in US history what does the American people get out of this nothing
What do the American people get out of this billions of dollars of money and equipment to Ukraine how does that benefit the American people in anyway
One of Tom Clancy's later books pitched a scenario where Russia became friendly with the West, and an aggressive China invaded Siberia to gain its natural resources. The US came to Russia's aid and during the climactic battle a Russian general, witnessing the US military at work against the Chinese, turned to his colleague and said "and we thought we could beat the Americans?" This is that moment come to life.
The problem is that while Russia's military is a joke, its nuclear arsenal isn't. Even if it's only 1% effective, that's still 60 thermo nuclear warheads.
There getting the M1a1 Abrams tanks now
Only the export version (without the secret special armor).
You're doing a good job Millie! You and James are a good combination. ❤
Yeah we sent them a LOT more than that already.
You should see a javelin fire….it looks like it Plops out of barrel and will plop on ground in front of person firing it…….But then…it looks like a mini Rocket Missile lighting up and taking off just before landing on the ground lol
Millie'a killing it, good job
@@cygnusx-3217 I too am curious.
7:42 they aren’t remote controlled most of the time. They’re autonomous
@@writemeontele_gramthebeesleys_ nice try faker
Ukraine has also been dropping nades from consumer drones too, crazy efficient too
And chemical weapons, too.
America's Healthcare is the best in the world
Every time I see a stinger I think of Tommy Lee Jones and that scene where he is telling the female pilot how to assemble one after their Apache gets shot down.
The 109 Bradleys may be the BIGGEST literal surprise to the Russians. They move super fast compared to tanks and will be always on your flank. Unsupported Russian ground battalions will be obliterated just before the heavy armor supported by troops arrives.
The thing is the longer they use our weapons and our tactics (we are teaching them our modern tactics) the faster they will learn and adapt to them, making not time even harder. Thank you for that video.
Putin needs to watch your video series. He would know since WWII, the US and allies have engaged nonstop in warfare. We've learned from some hard lessons in the last 7 decades and our tactics and weaponry on the battlefield reflect it. As to Russia threatening us, we've been sucker punched in the past. If they are going to try it they better get all of us. History speaks to those who tried and didn't finish the job. But enough of that, great job you two. Love your videos. Keep them coming.
You really are a murderous bunch.
PS: look into guided hypersonic missiles.
@@Homunculas We aspire to be more civil but tough lands breed tough people. If someone attacks or threatens to attack us; it's not in our nature to just take it.
Since I have taught it to my children as it was taught to me. I can't apologize for it. If someone starts a fight with you winning is unimportant; hurt them so bad that they will never want to fight you again and so everyone else sees to deter them also.
Russia is not a peasant in sandals from Afghanistan.
America always goes to war in herds.💩💩
There's no "kick" at all with the tube launched rocket systems.
learned more about this war than from anywhere else
Movie to watch about the stinger in Afghanistan is Charlie’s War!
Good job Millie! There are just some moments when I have to admit to a great feeling of security when I learn things like this. Please feel free to do more like this. Peace
I have actually seen some of the weapons in tv shows & films over the years. The Switchblade (or something similar) was on a recent episode of Seal Team. They are obviously a great tool for special forces teams!
Yes that is basically the Stinger.
Great job Mrs. Beesley
I appreciate all the great minds we've had through the yrs to develop whatever our brave soldiers need to keep them alive
Possibly also someone who actually works at geek squad who is in the reserves could be sent over lol
That was good
If you want to go more into anti-tank weapons look at "Why protecting tanks is getting much more difficult" by Not What You Think.
When I saw the title it made me 😂
You can say it. You want to get ahead so you can take a much needed break…
Russian soldiers are just real life versions of storm troopers.
Yeah the US doesnt have free health care, we're too busy pouring money into the military budget. It's mainly our politicians who are getting rich off of military endeavors. And why exactly are we giving Ukraine so much aid.
You'll never have free healthcare with an open borders lol funny thing is those 40 million non-citizens do get free healthcare so bend over and take it like a good citizen
There's no such as "free" health care. Not even Medicaid is "free" given it's funded by taxes.
@@TickleMeElmo55 free, as in you’re not making a direct out of pocket payment to the insurance company.
How do you think Europe pays for healthcare? It comes out of taxes

Millie, check out the warthog. It’s a beast!
A-10 ftw!
@@joshjones6072 brrrrt!
Hahaha
The American made rpg slips my mind rn but
Stingers are anti air
American made rpg are for ground vehicles
The javelin is the smartest of the bombs and can attack both but its much more expansive.
Enjoy this content - Thanks
This is why the US has such a high defense spending budget. Literally all our money goes to protecting our soldiers and other military assets.
Survivability is a hard lesson we learned in our conflicts abroad. If we cut spending now, our next conflict will see a lot more of our soldiers coming home under flags.
I couldn't imagine seeing a volley of drones flying out of a recon drone like at 6:56. I would be mortified
HIMARS system is a shoot and scoot
To see more about military deception you should check out some videos about the "Ghost Army" of WWII. Brilliant illusions which caused the enemy to waste time and resources on battling special effects and props.
The Javelin is manufactured about 2 hours drive from where I live. Interestingly, it has a concurrent initiation and similar configuration to Her Majesty's RAF anti-tank Brimstone missile. I wonder who gave who the idea. Probably East to West.
I am surprised to note the continued service of Stinger, as it was not brand new when I swore into The Army 38 years ago. Must be pretty good.
The Ukrainian HIMAR wooden decoys is priceless as a tactic and as an homage to UK's stationing of US General Patton's balloon fake tank corps to deceive The Luftwaffe's reconnaissance in facilitation of D-Day.
History does not repeat itself. It stands stock still.
Like many other US weapons, the Stinger used today has received many upgrades over the years. Even the modern version of the M1 Abrams is a radically different beast (on the inside) compared to the versions used in the the Gulf wars.
Who else thought she was wearing a RUSSIA sweater at the beginning of the video 😂 love from US.
The Stinger is a portable, shoulder-launched surface-to-air missile which can take out planes and helicopters. It tracks targets via infrared emissions.
Amazing Millie.
Вот это поворот. Мммм... М-да... Понятненько. Запомним и учтём))) 😉😉😉
lmfao I love the verbiage the video you're watching uses.
Russia doesn’t have the chips to make those switchblades
Am I the only one that kept thinking our girl Milly was wearing a Russia Hoodie in this video? Lmao
Great Reaction 👍
awesome job on the video
The Germans were among the first to pioneer modern combined arms fighting in WW2 much to the dismay of large parts of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Smart countries paid attention and learned how to replicate those early military wins, as well as how to counter them. Other countries sat back and rested on their nuclear stockpiles.
Another thing to add about the himars, we've only been giving them missiles with limited range, 92 km or 57 miles. We have ones that go 300 km, 186.4 miles, and are just as accurate while ones with 500 km, 310.7 miles, range are currently in development
the armies long range missile program is crazy as that 500 mile range one is the short range missile in the program....
Nice video!
Keep in mind, most of the larger weapon systems the USA is providing to Ukraine are 20 years old or in some cases older. The USA is also only giving Ukraine the short range versions of missiles for the HIMARS system.
The British are the best trained in the world
Thanks!
@The Beesleys, the man pads have on more than one occasion been used to strike down Russian missiles in Ukraine. Which is absolutely BRILLIANT!
great pick Millie
You guys should react to the American fa/xx 6th gen fighter jet I think you guys would find it interesting and really cool.
you should react to himars
The US spends $850 billion a year on defense, Russia spends maybe $80 billion. The size of the research and development programs alone should be a clue.
And yet Russia has guided hypersonic missiles, which America has been trying to develop since the early 90's
Good Job Millie 😊
Great job Millie!!
❤Awesome! I like the HIMARS weapon 😂 So cool! America is Great! Keep making MORE sophisticated weapons with everything to out do enemies in the Future to come! Keep it up, America! Love my Country USA!😂❤
As an American I can say we may not have free healthcare but we definitely have Free un healthcare when it comes to our military
Awesome job Millie
Well over 30 billion
To be fair British NLAW anti tank missiles are just about as good and Ukraine has used them effectively. And their storm shadow missiles have been very effective as well. And I’m an American saying this. We appreciate all the help our allies give to aid Ukraine. Ukraine will win if we all NATO countries (and others)work together.
And other great one Millie
These weapons are why there is a laser on almost every vehicle in The US Military.
You know Russia basically hasn't killed himirs because to destroy them Russia would need target cordnace on something that is moving often.
Ukraine is as crafty as Russia is clueless.
Millie, you did great!! Keep up the good work!
actually the best anti drone is a shotgun
When Russia went into Ukraine they thought they were fighting Napoleon's army 😂
The same for Britain. The war industry is doing well while the rest of us are being swallowed by out of control inflation.
