It's also good to note that Blood Awakening gives a big element boost. Recovering 50 HP gives 5 on Level 1, 5 on Level 2 and 15 on Level 3. Recovering 150 HP gives 10 on Level 1, 20 on Level 2 and 30 on Level 3. That's not very useful on Raw builds but for the elemental ones it is a big increase. So On level 3, if you recover 150 HP, you get 40 Raw and 30 Element.
Oh right that's what I forgot! I was so focused on raw that I completely forgot the elemental boost :D Thank you, Sir!
Plus berserk and strife would make a immortal element hybrid build
@@somedude2468 yeah but LS never goes full elemental like DBs or Bow does, unfortunately.
@@PeppoLS it does go well with cb too, but besides element you’re still getting 30 raw, 20% affinity, infinite stamina (using blood rite) and maybe even room for frost craft, with the benefit of being immortal to any attacks especially one shots.
Always the best. Cannot wait to keep following this journey into the next MH series. I personally started in World & have played hundreds of hours now. Have learned so much from you & I keep on learning from you. Thank you for everything Peppo keep them coming on the next series

For some reason when I first began my Hunting life I chose the switch axe. I have experimented with other weapons but I am so used to the SA that I can't use anything else! I know many people say the LS is best though

Even though this game isnt really pushing elemental LS, would it still be viable to make elemental LS sets? Fire+ 5 and such.

So its fair to say LS is a raw oriented weapon? I'm new to it coming from Lance which is elemental, and well most weapons in SB are elemental first and raw second.

I don't even play longsword but your videos are cool and I started following you instead of TDS after that whole incident. It's interesting seeing optimal builds since I play casually so I use a lot of comfort skills like evade extender and spiribird's call. Also my theory is that we'll get the announcement trailer for MH6 at Tokyo Game Show since the time between announcement trailer and game releasing is usually 6 months and 6 months from Tokyo Game Show is March 2024 which is the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter. But yea keep up the good work and can't wait to see you in MH6!

@@NeededMouse8764 I could be wrong on the specifics but Peppo was a part of TDS until they decided to make him leave the team due to hate from Chinese fans of their videos on the sort of Chinese version of CZcams I think? Anyway the hate was baseless and stupid and came from Peppo forgetting for only a few hours to include in the description of a video that he was using a mod that essentially allowed for "perfect rng" on monster topples so people thought he was cheating or something like that. The worst part was it wasn't even on the TDS channel it was on Peppo's own channel but the angry mob was so loud that rather than sticking up for their friend and teammate TDS removed him from the team/channel to appease the fans. This is of course a secondhand recollection of the story and I'm not involved with any of the parties mentioned so I could be very wrong but that's what I remember hearing/reading. When I learned about it I immediately unsubbed from TDS and subbed to Peppo lol.

@@Rhythmier Thanks for the extremely simplified and slightly incorrect response to a question I already answered. Pretty sure they "parted ways with him" which is less of a leaving and more of a "you can leave by choice or by force" type thing.

Ended up trading the amatsu legs for primordial legs, since blood awakening loves getting its healing fast, breaking parts helps a lot, plus every broken part procs weakness exploit
Idk if Peppo is gonna see this but someone know if there issome kind of a weakness threshold for when a Elemental long sword is better than raw ? And if so what that threshold is ? I'm guessing something like 30 ?
I couldn't the bloodening jewel 3 anywhere in the smithy. When I check on wiki I can't find any info on the anomaly dire hardclaw. Does anyone know why?

What charm melding were you using to get Frenzied Bloodlust with Quick Sheathe? Vigor or Cyclus?

I'm still 40mr levels away from risen shagaru magala, can I use primordial coil and try to aim for qurio crafting skills as replacement of the shagaru magala coil? Or is it not possible to get those skills until you actually beat the momster that has it?
That's perfectly fine, you can get Frenzied Bloodlust and Bloodlust via Qurio or charm instead and use Primordial's coil ;) It is possible to get that skill even if you haven't beaten the monster yet!
how do you increase the radius of harvest moon?
If arlow is jae mentor, Peppo is mentor for all longsword user
How are the Amatsu legs better than R. Val’s? Isn’t heaven sent pretty useless for LS especially at lv 1

Is the best ls build actually?
I have a question, why don't people use magnamalo ls? How much % does purple add to the weapon?
White Sharpness multiplier for raw is 1.32 while Purple is 1.39. In other words, purple sharpness deals 5% more damage than white, which is not much. I come from MHFU and MH Tri where Purple was 1.5 xD The nerf is real!
@Peppo so what your saying is that magnamalo does 336 dmg cause 5% of 320 is 16?
@@Sephiroth69 No, what I'm saying is that if you have an attack power of 320, in white sharpness let's say you deal 100 damage, then in Purple with the same attack you'd deal 105. As you can see there's not a lot of difference. Of course the higher the attack (and so the damage output) the higher the difference, but it will always be 5%. If you deal 1000 damage in white sharpness, then in purple it'd be 1050.
@Peppo okay, so what's the damage difference if you use gold rathian vs magnamalo like saying if you both used a forward slash what would be the damage difference
Please allow me to add in, Scorned magna LS has short purple and white sharpness. Where Teo LS has big chunk of white sharpness, which translate to better utility and comfort without sacrificing too much damage (only 5% as Peppo mentioned here), and it also has higher blast status.
I've been using Scorned Magma LS with Frostcraft + Grinder S + Build Up Boost, which I think it is the most make sense build for that LS. The overall damage output is considerably lower than the Helm Breaker build (need to pray to RNG God), but it is satisfying to see Sacred Sheathe's last hit deals 2k++ damage on monsters 😂 fun on multiplayer hunts where you don't get to counter much
pls help idk how to gtet the frenzied bloodlust skill on melding? I literally cant see the option to roll for it.

I was following ur lower MR build but got stuck after MR90 since I can’t fight any Risen until 120+ got any tip for gear until I reach risen?
Amatsu and Primordial Malzeno are the best armors, use those to build something until you don’t reach Risen Elders

@@Kingnabor oh I didn't know that lol Well you can still hunt Risen Elders even if you are below the master rank required to POST the quest, but to actually join you just need to be MR10+, so the best way would be to farm it with somebody who's MR high enough to post the quests :)
My only question is, why go for so many low level skills with different activation requirements? It seems really inefficient compared to how builds were made in MHW where the focus was maxing out as many as possible.
Many skills in sunbreak have the most efficiency at lvl 1
For example, burst is the most optimal at lvl 1, while other succeeding levels are technically better but only by a fraction.
So instead of maxing out skills like burst, you stack low levels of skills to maximize overall efficiency
Yeah, especially for Raw build. Element build though you may want to go for max level on some skills, like Burst or Blood Awakening.

Anything that gives you Quick Sheath, other skills can be anything that increases your dps.
The early game is pretty laid back for LS... heck the entire game is prety laidback for LS.

Isn't agitator an important skill to have ? Level 5 gives Attack +20 and affinity +15% ?
Agitator was mostly used in MHW, which was done because we had a guaranteed way to always keep the monster enraged. Without this option in Rise/Sunbreak it's just more efficient to slot in other skills instead.

@@Superman-oy8oy Of course the standard important skills: Attack boost, WEX, Crit boost and grit eye. Quick sheathe definitely is more important then ever before. And since the longsword depends heavily on silkbind attacks: Whirebug whisperer and Wind Mantle. And heaven -sent is key for sharpness management.

I just saw that no one uses Agitator anymore. Is it not useful rn or in meta?
Well it depends. In my anomaly research I usually don't use agitator because monsters gets tired really easily and so agitator doesn't stay active that much. But on some monsters like Primordial Malzeno I think it's really good and I use it myself all the time.

yeah it can potentially work but I feel like it's not always that consistent in general :)
@@PeppoLS personally I combined it with attack boost wex, crit boost, max might, wirebug whisperer, and Quick sheat as we all know QS is the only thing that matters and with the primordial ls it does 2500 damage on rathian's head on serene pose and around 290 and 340 on the delayed hit from harvest moon
With the primordial ls blood awakening is alomst at 100% uptime once you break a part you will focus for the rest of the run

You just randomly roll it in Qurio Vigor
How high does this make sacred sheathe damage?
For Sacred Sheathe style I suggest you use Frostcraft at level 3. You either get it from the charm or via Qurio augments, that's the best thing. Investing in Frostcraft by using 3 pieces of Velkhana's armor, at this point of the game is not worth it anymore.
On the Dummy's head Ive done a bit over 3.3k with the Tigrex LS, that was before Blood awakening.
I suggest trying Peak performance alongside this now, something tells me its gonna be good.

Man... I took a long break from MH. I haven't touch any of the updates and now it looks so overwhelming that I might just wait for the next Mh to to life

I have to try this build. Just started playing rise again on PC instead of switch. Man its so much fun having so much better fps. :) so wonderfully smooth compared to switch.
Heaven sent isnt that great at level 1. Would recommend Risen Valstrax over it.
