This was a super fun episode to film, because his off-meta nature meant that he really pushed back on "is this actually bad? are you sure KM?" in a way that was veeeerry fun to film! Crim is such a relentlessly positive creator, he turns card games you should rage at sometimes into just a laugh and move on moments and it's great to watch.
let’s goooo this series is my favorite snap content by far, such an entertaining concept, and really informative about how gameplay concepts translate between games, as someone who hasn’t played other card games

I love that the response to KM saying "This card is bad" was 5 minutes of "No you're not seeing the vision this card isn't really bad you're all just using him wrong" and how by the end of the video KM seems reluctant to explicitly call things bad cause the response was gonna be the same. Great energy great addition to a great series I envy the optimism
Doubling Nico's power can also be cracked. I've actually gotten her to 40 power with the help of locations and Phoenix Force.
She gets to 10 with just hulkbust, so a 3/10.
Then you have tons of combos like gm, arnim, wong, pheonix force, etc.
It's funny the MTGGoldfish podcast and Crim shilling Marvel Snap was why I started playing the game. This is a bit of a full circle moment for me
Shout out to the District X game I had earlier today that gave my opponent a Martyr who lost him the game. In al seriousness, the Martyr bet is one of my favorite in this series every single time.
This settles it. Energy is now balls.
This video made me realise brewing is so much harder and rarer in Snap than other CCGs I've played and I think it's because of the monetization and how tight card acquisition is. Like, yeah, Grand Master actually looks very cool and I'd be hyped to play him in Proving Grounds and Silver Conquest for the lulz but I can't exactly throw 6k tokens for him.
He's in Thena's banner together with Gladiator so that'll be a cool pickup but that's so many months later than his release. :/
Gran master has some crazy combos the problem really is the lack of consistency in getting them. And its lack of power doesnt help. Still one of my favourite cards in the game.
I love the C3 double valkyrie combo, and now that i have been playing with the Nimrod Destroyer deck, double destroyer or double lady deathstrike can be pretty crazy too.
Both of these decks would be so much better if gran master had even just 1 power, and probably top tier if it had 3.
I really like his take on cards. He's the kind of person who would speculate and cook instead of being dismissive towards a card (even the bad one), just like how a content creator would. You can tell easily just how genuine his love for card game is just by his reaction towards cards.

I like that this one was more gut feeling than pure crunching number analysis as it gives the series different flavour everytime so great job both of you !
For Heimdal they could make it that played on the left location everything moves right, played on the right location, everything moves left, and played in the center, nothing happen/random direction.
This would make positionning more impactful, and the card would have a surprise factor that's needed.
No idea who this guest was outside of this video. But I loved his energy and what he brought to the video.
I love these vids KM. Ive now shown all these to my buddy and between these and myself hes grown so much in card knowledge he just hit infinite for the first time last season, so proud lol. Good stuff buddy keep them up!

Ravonna and Hope would keep Havok's downside to a minimum.
If I have either on hand, I'd play Havok on T4.

Try and get him to come back and play PF combo with you for 45 minutes, that would be fun
Heimdall *could* be made to "choose", if they had him move cards "away" from himself. So play him on the left, he pushes right, play him on the right, he pushes left, play him mid, he pushes left/right based on which side the card is closer to.
Would be a pretty cool buff to the move archetype, and fair. It's flexible enough to work around locations, but telegraphed enough that good players will be able to see what's coming. 10/10 buff if they do it IMO.
Also, with no disrespect, I think Crim may have the worst performance of anyone you've had on the show, which is interesting since he even has some Snap experience. Seems like nerves may have gotten to him.
I love how he says pixel variants are an acquired taste I agree lmao I used to hate them but now I embrace the pixels because everyone hates them so much lmao I'm not even disappointed when I open one anymore

What would it take for Crim to play Marvel Snap? He seems like he'd come up with some wild stuff, and he's such a dynamic personality.
As a Cerebro 2 player I agree that there’s not enough Storms and Gooses (Geese).
Those cards are so damn good.
The problem with War Machine as tech vs. Prof X is that if X comes down on 5 you have to predict that and play War Machine the same turn he drops. There isn't an extra turn in there to play him reactively.
I wonder how war machine would play in a meta where prof x was consistently played on 4 or earlier. Like on the one hand yeah you have that extra time to react to the prof x, but on the other, your opponent also has time to react to your war machine and can just retreat which isn't great.

KM, if you want to be judging hearthstone cards, you should get in touch with Rarran, he does stuff like this all the time with hearthstone. Would love to see you two team up
Even outside of the Content brain, “ I wish I could whale so I could have cards”- I am a regular player that has been leaving this idea out in the ether for a while now, I really wish they would sell card packs. I hope that it’s not in the $500 range, (please God, no) but there are cards even in series 3 that I still don’t have and that I wish I could buy as like a pack of like 3 to 5 for like 20 bucks. And if they still want to add a certain amount of time limiting factor to it, it could just be a once a month thing that you could choose to pick up with the season pass.

Would buffing Havok to take an energy each turn aka on turn 4 you have 3 energy on 5 you have, etc make him broken or "just" good?

Its vanilla stats with an upside, like how much else would it need to be good? Be at 7 power? buff its effect?
yes grandmaster might be conditional, but have you considered ravonna on 2wong on 4 black panther on 5 and grandmaster left into zola mid on turn 6?
