Commentary is actually insane, they have something different to point out about each hole whether it be the bunkers and how they are shaped or how narrow the fairway is they definitely did really good with it imo.

It’s good sometimes. Just won the masters as a amateur and it was so anticlimactic. Wish there was more excitement for winning.

This game is incredibly tough, but I think I like that part of it. When you make a big putt or a great shot, it's pretty rewarding.
Yea. I like to see that it isn't showing you exactly where your ball is going before the shot.. more like the old Tiger Woods games.. The golf games over the last decade have been pretty shitty

This game is actually really fun and a challenge which I absolutely love. The customization is amazing. I will say when 60fps gets added this games going to be the superb golf game.
Will 60Hz make that much difference, I don’t think so.

@@boborris1317 It depends how much of an trade they have to make it run @60. Probably lower resolution at least. Hopefully not LOD distance or texture quality, that is what I hope. Small drop in shadow quality I can accept.
once i switched to pc for gaming, 30fps games literally started giving me headaches. 60fps is barely enough

Quick Rounds is random between 4-6 holes per round. Guaranteed to play the last holes 4-6 in the final round so the tournament always ends on the 18th. In Majors, the final round (with Quick Rounds on) is 9 holes.

I see that you can simulate parts of the round but like 2k23 can you play like one round instead of 4 for certain events then make it more for the majors etc or is it just whether you simulate part of it?
The roll out on St. Andrews seems a bit exaggerated in all honesty, but it's not too bad.

yea, especially in the rough parts, but fun, bunkers come into play now.
To be fair Tiger did hit a drive over 400+yds cause it had massive roll.

Loving this game so far. Didn’t make the cut on my amateur start 😢 the only thing I need to learn is the putting. Like the grid shows left to right and my putt just goes far right. Maybe it’s the tempo of the putt idk but love it so far

Great start to the series, looking forward to watching the future. My only thought is you may need to increase some of the difficulty settings or the career mode may run stale with win after win. I know it was just the amateur but if the sim wasn’t pushing your score down you probably would have run away with this tournament. Throw in the fact that your player doesn’t even have many skill boosts yet… I feel like the over/under power and slow/fast misses (like over 1%) should be way more penalizing. Just my two cents! Regardless, great video, always enjoy your content.

I was at the Open last year at St Andrews...fairways were like concrete in the summer. Drives were rolling 60+ yards! So looks realistic!

I've found shot shaping on makes the game much more difficult, otherwise yeah the swing tempo and everything is far too easy
I think the ball size is fine, its the iron club heads they need downsize imo

Quick question that I noticed watching you and never asked. When you play a draw, fade or loft, you only have the line on the left and the high/low lines, but not one on the right. Why is that? Mine has all 4 lines (right, left, top and bottom) regardless of difficulty I am on. Is there a reason for that?

The game doesn't really look bad. It's just the swing animation looks weird and glitchy, I also think the putting animation seems very short.
Yea, like 10ft really looks like 5-6ft. I’m like, if my guy lays down from the ball to the hole it would be the same distance 😂. Still a fun game though.

Your golfer's back story. He is an ex mobster who learned how to golf playing with his former don. Of course, he always lost on purpose so as not to offend the boss, but he knew he had a talent for golf. He managed to ge out of the mob and decided to give professional golf a try. Sorry, my friends and I have made backstories for all our golfers so I hope you forgive me. 😁

I think the course physics are quite good most the time. Changes course to course but St Andrews does roll like a motherfucka
