- I like to meet new people and learn about new cultures. My Cambodian friend Hoy invited me to try Duck Soup with coconut milk. For that we had to visit the local grocery market first and then get the cooking started.
Cambodian food is so rich with flavors. Watch the video to see how it came out! :)

My daughter in law made this once without chilli. She made a whole pot, I ate the whole thing.
My stepmum is Cambodian. Her family really suffered man. They came to France in the 1970s. My dad gave them work and sorted out everything until they found their feet. We ate nem and my dad hated the stink of the nuc mam. 😂

7$ US for a 1.5 kilo duck is an insane amount of money, given that it's about the average daily wage in the rural areas of Cambodia. It's like paying the equivalent of 200$ in the US.

I went to a market in Portland Oregon I paid 23.00 duck and everything else added was another 15.00.... insane how cheap this was there. However we have buy everything in store, he got a lot from his yard.

Tumeric or Tamarind? In Arizona you can get a Tamarind drink at Mexican restaurants. Tumeric is bright yellow. Tamarind is dark brown.
