"If you want to be like that- I don't need you as friends" thanks for being open and honest. It shows a lot of character. And I love the attitude.

Hats off for doing that. I know as a business owner when an accident happens the owner eats it.

A man told me once, people won't judge you by the mistakes you make, but how you handle your mistakes . You handled it well!

Main thing is nobody got hurt. As they say crap happens and things can be fixed. Thank you for sharing this. Just shows you are all human at the end of the day.

I work for a shop in NW Ohio. We had a good come up on a custom car, it had been built in the 2000's and then sat. We received the car to get it back on the road. The hood was something we didn't mess with... On the test drive the hood came up and wrecked a bunch of stuff.... It happens. We managed it and fixed a few underlying issues that we would not have seen until we had the front clip and hood off. All's well now. Happens to the best of us.

You have to give respect to the guy that takes full responsibility of his mistakes. Owning your mistakes makes you a stand up guy.

It says a lot you're willing to put this on the internet for public scrutiny. Mistakes and accidents happens, it's how it's handled that tells the story. Much respect for the transparency. 👍

Had the same thing happen with my 66 mustang back in the late 80’s. I had just put a new intake and carb on it and wanted to go test it out. Jumped on the freeway, stomped on the gas and the hood flew back. I added hood pins after that fiasco

This is like when you go see a legendary band play and you hear then mess up and you go “oh thank god, they’re human.” And then you love them even more 👍 you guys inspired me to build my 68 short bed and I just finished it and got the coyote started! And while I could only see my errors, this video reminded me that I am human and this IS my first time building this type of truck. You guys are awesome!

Accidents always happen. what matters is that you learn from them.

  • @gary-powdercoatingspeciali3093

Part of being an engineer. Things like this happen to me almost daily. At times I think, "Can't anything ever work out?!" Fact is, things do go right on occasion the first time. Innovation and experimentation do bring on these sorts of events, but we move on.

This is unforgivable. If you are building a brand new truck, this should never happen. Unless you are ford or Chevy. Just kidding. You guys do great work and glad your customer was a partner and not just a “customer”. Well done sir

It sucks to learn from my guys a few lessons I’d rather not. But we are a team. We all succeed and falter together. Step up and move forward
