Thanks. The body line are Kyosho 0.4mm micron tape. The antenna cap I got form modelsportuk but you can buy them from pretty much any modelstore or ebay.
Hello Chris, very well done. Currently building my own. Mechanics was real fun to build. Now I have to do the paintwork and as it is the first of Tamiya I have one question: With what did yo draw the thin lines on the body? Indicating the doorlines and body parts? And where do you get the stickers for the tyres? Thanks in advance TKappe
Hi Thomas. The panel lines are Kyosho micron tape 0.4mm which can be found on ebay. The tyre decals are from MCI RACING in Canada, they do quite a few variants. Have fun with the build 👍
who ever thumbs down this video seriously get a life !! , Great Video and Build Excellent Finish beautiful car i hope mine comes out like this bud just waiting on the 22 bearings atm and also ordering the hop-op shocks will be a treat when its done still wondering what to run it with which tamiya brushed motor would you suggest? I have the tble02-s esc for it so i was wondering do i go brush-less or a Tamiya Modified brushed i would like it fAST, but mainly its going to be a shelf queen maybe a run in an open flat car park a few times here and there but wanting to keep it pristine as i do all my other tamiya's cheers bud for sharing a great video any input would be appreciated ..................... happy Driving all
Thanks for the comment. It really is a beaut of a build, more interesting than the TT-02 etc. Something to take on board, is that spares for this chassis are somewhat thin on the ground atm. I've ran it once on a Sport Tuned motor and it's quite lively in an enclosed space. I intend to run it next on a Super Stock RZ motor. I have one in my Super Hot Shot and on 8.4v nimh it's a very hectic buggy. So in an on road car I expect it to be very peppy. It's more than capable of taking brushless, the only thing the kit will need is bearings but you've got that covered. Also it's a very smooth running chassis compared to a shaft driven chassis, I love the sound of it when it spools up lol. Have fun with your build, take your time and enjoy it, the build is the best part.
Nice built and decal work. I have the LeMans-Version. Awesome car. I´ll order a body if its available because mine is really damaged after all this years. The repetitive fade-in/fade-out of the photos is a bit exhausting to watch unfortunately.
FICHTLrider Thanks for the comments and feedback.Panel lines make it look much better, light coloured bodys really need it to break up large areas. The fading in and out isn't for everybody, I just try to add a little sparkle. Thanks again.
Love the vid. Picking this kit up. Does it come with metal bearings? I downloaded the manual, and shows them as in kit. But wanted to make sure. I realise there are still some more to get to replace all plastic bushings... But wondering if I can get away with just the few that aren't in the kit (saving money), rather than ordering a kit (fast eddy), for considerably more than just the few extra bearings that may be needed. Thanks so much! Panel lines look awesome!
Thanks. Haven't had time to run it yet. Only fitted a Sport Tuned motor so not expecting blistering speeds. Should hold up nice though, it's a pretty decent chassis. Have fun with yours if you get one, the build is very interesting.
@@bmwe39m5 I went for the 54298 left hand drive. One thing I never anticipated was the raised belt tensioner and belt It can be fitted with a lot of cutting but you will need to remove the belt tensioner completely. However, I suspect the the right hand drive set could fit without removing the tensioner but you will have to cut a long channel down the opposite side to allow the belt and tensioner to run freely.
Great looking build. Good work with the stickers 👍🏻
Thanks. A few tricky ones but most were straight forward.
Brilliant build mate amazing detail! Subscribed.
Thanks. It's a very enjoyable build, The TA03 is a lot more involved than say a TT-02.
fantastic sticker foe wheels,I also mounted it!!!!!
Thanks. They are MCI Racing stickers.
Sweet build! How did you do your body lines and where did you get that cap for your antenna? 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼

I have one on order :)
Enjoy the build, the chassis is the best part.

Panel lines look awesome!
Hi and thanks. There are no bearings in the kit. There are a few metal bushings but these would ideally need replacing for full bearings.
@@toppertopp thank you!
Looks great. How did you do panel lines?
Thanks. Kyosho 0.4mm micron lining tape.
Love it!!!
Thanks d smooth, really is a gorgeous shell 👍
Very nice Im thinking about ordering one. How is it performance wise considering its a 23yo chassis?
Thanks. Haven't had time to run it yet. Only fitted a Sport Tuned motor so not expecting blistering speeds. Should hold up nice though, it's a pretty decent chassis. Have fun with yours if you get one, the build is very interesting.
Did you paint the black part on the front lower bumper or used the stickers?
I used the stickers which was a PITA. If you can spare a little time masking, paint it. Less hassle.
@@toppertopp duly noted. You did a good enough job that I couldn’t tell it was stickers.
Did you smoke the windows at all? Not sure if i should or not on mine.
Hi Simon. I didn't no because I have a cockpit set for when it's on display.
@@toppertopp Thanks. What cockpit set did you go for?

Thanks. I got them from rcbearings.co.uk
@@toppertopp i see! thank you!
