Hi you referred me to this video..I going to be getting my new authority soon and will have the 180 wait period problem. I’m currently working for an Amazon 3rd party. I’m using my email address and they assign me blocks. Will this be a problem when I part ways with them since Amazon has my cdl and email should I create a new email at that time to avoid confusion? Your input would be greatly appreciated
When you start your own authority and set up your own Amazon account, I would absolutely use a separate email account than the one you’re currently using, here is why: If someone at the old company accidentally/intentionally assigns you a load, that load will appear in your work queue. If you book something for yourself, that load will show up in your work queue too . In your work queue, you’re only able to start whichever load is “next” and if the load they assigned you is before the one you booked, your only real option is to reject the one you booked (since you can’t start it) and that is going to screw your grade for six weeks. All of this can be avoided with having two email accounts, one you’re using temporarily with the lease on company and one you plan to use permanently with your own Amazon account. 👊🏻🍻
You’re going to get an email from Amazon saying something to the effect of “hey, this CDL and driver profile is associated with this other account, you can only have one, which one do you want to be active” Once the new one is made active, it nulls/voids the prior profile with the old company and you’re good to go on your own, with never having to worry about everything I mentioned. Basically, you’re in 100% control of what shows up in your work queue
Funny story: I had completed the video after some late night editing in the back of the truck and I went to look up the original fake email address I made up which was more believable to how they actually look. The person existed🤣 This presented two problems: I didn’t want to give up someone’s actual email address I needed the person to not exist for demonstration purposes. I tried again, AND again, AND AGAIN. After five attempts of trying to make it look believable (clearly too believable), I just went with the first thing that popped into my head and I present to you BROKERPIMP😂🤣 👊🏻🍻
