The land must be rewilded for our survival. ALL dams must go. We have had notions that we control nature by harnessing it and we're given dominion to do that. Undoing this thinking is not easy for multiple reasons I don't have to say as everyone is capable of thinking. There is like 6% of U.S. land mass that is old growth forest. Do you grasp? We were not taught environmental science growing up as part of a State mandated subject like math every day. I fully understand the fears of farmers and ranchers who live on what once were floodplains but dams destroyed. The CO River Basin would not be droughting if not for the 15 dams on it. Now CO in those districts are the paying people to use less water. How long should we think that's economically feasible?? The program is presently voluntary. Getting rid of the Hoover won't go easy. I implore you all to place the greater need over your personal one. Please. Where I live it is same. One town near me has its dam in addition to what remains of its 19th century mills that artificially created two ponds from a section of the river by constructing a land bridge/causeway to a little peninsula. It's real sweet back there except for the green slue every year it turns into. It's horrid stagnant non moving water. Cottages were built on the peninsula back in the day and were replaced with larger nicer homes. The mills needed depositories for waste not unlike what fracking needs today. These problems are not going to be fixed w/o painful interventions voluntary or not.

@@SheratonParkFarmsIt's actually people who don't realize the harm they are doing to Future generations, there are no technically applicable solutions to the Green House effect.
Scrubbers on Coal plants to prevent Acid Rain actually cause Coal Fired power plants to emitt twice the CO2.
Methane though is the real problem It's 4 times worse than CO2, most of it coming from abandoned coal mines and oil wells. What the UN was talking about was industrialized animal production not Beef on grass, because Manure from beef on Grass is usually taken care of by dung Beatles.
Industrialized food lots, produce tons more Methane from Manure ponds. Industrialized meat production would doom this planet if it were allowed to spread into developing nations.
We now live in a world where if modern agriculture shut down the population would starve to death in a matter of month.

If anyone wants to see what happens when you remove livestock from farming they should watch the BBC series "War Time Farm". Bureaucrats decided to eliminate all but dairy cattle from farms and concentrate the majority of acreage on small grain cereal crops. By the end of 4 years the soil was so depleted that food production plummeted. They concluded that had the war lasted another year, Britain would have had to surrender or starve! - oh and dryer lint is the best fire starter I have ever used - you don't need a flame because a spark will instantly ignite it.

To be fair....WWII British officials needed to maximize calories per acre. The truth is grain & potatoes produce more calories than beef.
You make it sound as if UK official removed animals purely for nefarious reasons.
The grain that had been fed to hogs chickens and beef cattle was needed to feed the soldiers fighting overseas and the conscripted industrial workers in armament factories & mines.
Did you know the Brits actually *DRAFTED* men to work in the coal mines? In fact, one of the reasons Churchill lost the '46 election was because those conscripted miners were FORCED to stay working even after the Germans surrendered and the army was demobilized. Those conscripted miners voted against the Tories over the unfairness.

That was about the most stupid thing I ever heard. Are they claiming that the new replacement cattle don't burp the same as the cattle slaughtered early?

I have a neighbor that gets $7per pound for chicken breasts. I buy an entire bird at the store for that. I'm retired with no pension; farm raised meat like so many produce is wayyy beyond my budget. That's where the biggest problem is, in my opinion. You guys can't raise meat that poor people can afford. The best I can do is avoid grains to not support the mega farms growing that, but honestly, it takes more than one person boycotting something to make a difference. I'm diabetic, and recently got infected with alpha-gal syndrome, so I can't eat red meat, now either. So I am able to raise most of what I can eat, and lucky to be able to do so.

For that blame should be placed on the world bank and the ones who cause this forced inflation, not the small farmers trying to pay all the immense taxes. One regulation that farmers need to truck their animals to a usda certified slaughter operation site, vs being able to slaughter on site is driving up the cost. To get usda organic certification is another bureaucratic measure that drives up the price of local pastured meats. We should focus on those aspects as a society. It’s killing our small farmers and forcing them to sell.

Cows and other ruminants are the most amazing creatures on earth. They turn grass, water and sun into the most nutrient dense meat on the planet. We just recently processed thirteen meat birds. We spent$ 40 in feed( organic feed) from the day they were chicks to 8 weeks of age. We spent $60 or so on the chicks so we still came out way cheaper than when we were buying $28 whole birds from our local farmer.

We actually did a video on the numbers. The issue isn’t cows, it is how they are raised. Even if you take the cows conventionally raised there are way more emissions that are produced (if you believe in that as well) growing veggies that are grown for veggie burgers. Some of that of course is cattle feed, but much of the corn is also raised for fuel. Ruminant animals are not bad for the planet, we need them to heal the planet. It is very interesting when you actually look at the numbers they release. It doesn’t even fit their narrative!

The goal is to feed everyone and create a more sustainable earth for all generations to come. We have a common factor as People WE ALL HAVE TO EAT! Not just one particular group. Grass fed cows benefit the ecosystem, they are not a detriment to it, and people know this. All animals are sentient and have feelings and a sense of self, and people also know this. There will always be some people who cannot face eating a potential pet. There are by no means enough people interested in giving up meat in their diet to be a threat to you, though over time your industry may shrink, and will probably change how animals are husbanded - things always change over time. No one is foolish or naive enough to believe that humanity will give up being meat eaters completely (in the near future anyway).

Short of placing classified ads and hoping people look for them, there isn't much in the way of connecting to the general public. The big guys have their middlemen and distributors doing all that work for them, but the little guys are too little for said middlemen and distributors to bother with, not to mention conflict of interest. Agreed with this video ... completely. I would like to bring up demand. Before the War of Northern Aggression....only the rich elite ate beef on a weekly basis. The common man ate more small animals and dairy was the main use if cattle. Veal was more prevelant because farmers did not need many bulls and the stomach of the calf was used to make cheese.
But along comes the expansion of the plains out west and settlers wanted to raise cattle to feed the newly established Chicago stock yards in 1870. So they had to clear out the roaming Bison which could not be domesticated for market and allow large cattle operations to exist. Plus....eliminating the Bison forced the Indians into a weakened position and thus easier to control.
Solution....return to eating less beef like our ancestors and more small animals like pigs, goats, ducks, chickens, and geese. Cows should be plentiful for dairy. Refrigeration has changed everything. We must go back to our roots to save the planet

I will never stop eating farm raised meat. I will never eat lab made meat, ever.

Actually, processed meats - as in, cured, not the lab stuff - are actually GOOD for us! Dr. Mercola posits that we are actually salt-deficient due to eons of relying on salt-cured meats prior to the age of refrigeration, and the nitrites that they tell us are SO bad, SO carcinogenic are actually a precursor for nitric oxide which is vital for healthy circulation! Remember: they told us saturated fat is bad, PUFAs are good (as heart disease then skyrockets); salt is bad, sugar is good (hello, type 2 diabetes!); so, why believe them when they say bologna and bacon are the worst things you can eat?

There are also people having problems with us backyard gardeners.
I don't need the cow on the plate - even though like he taste, it just feels so wrong.
I prefer seeing them out there in nature, those beautiful creatures. 💛

I do believe in climate change I do believe there are things we can do to help reduce emissions however, I don’t think cattle is producing as much as they say I think this is a by product of animal rights activists that’s much like baby bulls being killed immediately after being born to dairy cows, which is nonsense.
Why do I think this because I looked at the United Nations statement and they also want to people to reduce hunting. Which seems counterproductive (even though I’m not a hunter) because those animals also are similar to cattle (ruminants) and I would think they too produce methane.
I try not to eat more than one meal a week with red meat for health reasons, but when I do, I buy from a private farm. I also buy eggs that are pasture raised, etc. I’ve felt that way for years.

They can ask all they want. They will have to pry my beef out of my cold dead hands!!!! My father fought 20 years in the military so I could eat beef if that is what I want to do. And I WILL continue to do so. I appreciate all your videos.

*A University in the U.K. just voted to go vegan... Funny thing is only around 3% of the 28,000 students voted & they only won buy a super small margin*
