- Whether you're in a mood for a classic defined curl, a relaxed wavy look, or a loose curl, Conair Curl Secret Auto Curler has got you covered. I was sent the newest redefined Conair Curl Secret in the PR and wanted to review it right away. This is not in collaboration with the brand nor am I obligated to review or show this tool. This is not the first fully automated hair curler, but it does offer something others lack. The transparent chamber allows users to see the magic that happens when you press “start”. In this hair tool review, I also do a full day wear test to see the longevity of the curls.

The 25 minutes show. This is one of those rare times it actually looks like “You just left the salon”. The curls fell beautifully.
As someone that is horrible at using a curly iron I think I need this in my life- thanks so much for this review and the bonus last part with the babies ❤
The fact you have fine hair and still had to do small sections to not get tangled shows me exactly what I needed to know (thank you! 🙏) --- that this curler is NOT for thick-haired girls with tons of hair 😂
Thick hair here, too. I was considering buying an automatic hair curler because it does the job for me. I don't manage to get the perfect curls with a barrel curler.
Just wanted to pop in and say just have thick hair and this does my hair great and my sections arnt super small but not super big so almost average you just have to make sure to put the hair through properly
Tbh you should be doing small sections for curls especially with thick hair
Sold! Thank you!
@@simonagrigorutathe Chi spin and curl is amazing for thick hair
Your hair is beautiful, i think you and your hair could make ANY product look like it performs well....but im convinced I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE♡
@milabu I love your videos! Your hair turned out great! I bought one at Ulta yesterday and used it for the first time last night. I have fine hair, just past my shoulders. What I quickly learned after reading the instructions, is to gently hold the ends of your hair as it's being pulled into the chamber. The only time it tangled on me was when I didn't hold the ends or tried to use too much hair. I got the idea pretty quickly and was amazed at the results! I used 330 degrees and chose the loose curl option. I let them cool and simply ran my fingers through the curls with my head upside down and flipped back up. Only products I used was a thermal protectant and It's a 10 finishing spray. The curls stayed perfectly, were light and bouncy and the best part....they still looked amazing this morning! I still have the older version of this curler, but it was too heavy and hard to use for me. This new improved model is a winner!
Wow! Your hair turned out beautifully. The curls are gorgeous and they really held up! Even after sleeping, you could just run a comb through your hair and go. It’s still that pretty. This is one auto curler that I’m actually impressed with 😊 even more so with the price!
Super impressed with this curler! The curls looked beautiful and lasted REALLY well!
I’ve never been able to master the art of curling my hair in alternating curls or away from my face so the fact this will do it for me is a big selling point for me!
Your hair looks so pretty in its natural colour. It’s so shiny and healthy. Love it
I’m left handed and struggle with a regular curling iron, so this looks like something that would work better for me!
I like that this version has a longer barrel. I have long hair, and I hate the short mini barrels that snag my hair. I want to try this!
They have a device similar to this already. It curls like that to. Which is quick and awesome. Just put the hair in it and it goes up into the device and curls it. Timer also. Neat how they can have two devices do the same thing but with different shapes. Technology is amazing.
Older versions of this type of iron allow you to take a larger section of hair. I don’t have the patience to take as small of sections as you were doing, but do love the clear shield and button option.
Thank you for the video. I recently bought it on a trip to the USA. I'm Brazilian and I haven't been able to use it yet. I had watched other videos, but yours was the best. Thank you very much.
Just got mine today. Yup, gonna have a learning curve. But when I do get it to work the results are so much fun.
Another product that intrigues me, but with shorter thin hair, not sure its for me. You do such a great job demonstrated it, wish i had your skills!
My boyfriend gave this to me for Christmas. I already tried it a little, can’t wait to do my whole head tomorrow.
I wish to have hair just like this once I grow out my buzz cut! I tried on a wig that looks pretty close to Milanas hairstyle/ color here and it suited me great.
Love you Milabu❤
We have a Chi brand automatic curling iron. It’s kind of a one trick device. Same concept as this. And it doesn’t get close enough to the scalp
I bought something VERY similar to this on Amazon about 4 years ago, I guess, for my then 10-year-old. It really does work. It was her first hair tool, I think, and it really started off her hair styling journey. (She's all about styling her hair these days.) With the clear protective chamber, this would make a perfect first hair tool for little girls.
I've never been good with a curling iron, but even I could use that curler. Due its price point, I worry about using it very often due to damage from heat spikes and whatnot, but I bet this Conair would be pretty reliable. I don't need it, but I gotta admit...I want it. 😂
I have various different versions of these auto curlers. Mine is 22 inch extensions and I find the plug in type is the best and the rechargeable has smaller barrel and so struggles with my hairl length. However. Compared to straighteners or a rod curler, I can do my whole head in 20 mins and it lasts all week if I plait it each night. I will never go back to the old style curler. Mine has never tangled, I think your hair is kind of fluffy and that’s causing it to tangle, the texture of my hair with heat protector on this totally stops the tangling. I 100% recommend any of the auto curlers.
I can the chi version of this and i found if u hold it straight up and down it doesnt tangle the hair as much.
I heard ads for this on the radio several times this weekend and I immediately thought of you reviewing it! Here we are❤
Really nice that you don’t have to hold the button! Unfortunately, the brand isn’t available in Germany.
I like the concept of this very much 😘 Loved the finished look of your hair🥰 and being a tighter curl which I prefer it would've loosened throughout the day and you wouldn't need to choose a different setting 😊.
Your hair colour is looking beautiful!
2:23 -- I love it when you talk like that, when you said, "weyulll". 😂 The entire saying, "Weyulll, look at thayuttt", is my favorite, though. Lol
I’m so tempted to have one of these, your hair looks astonishing ❤
I mean, it is a maybe for me. The only downside of it all is that you have to take small sections in order to get the perfect curled style. This is similar to the Chi Spin n' Curl that I already own, which by the way, I love, because I suck at curling my hair with regular wands.
Oh wow! Beautiful job! That curl really held. I love that the tool does so much of the setting work for you. (I'm NOT a morning person, so the more help I can get, the better! 😴) This is going on my Christmas Wish List for sure! 😍🎄🎅 Thanks for the great review and the stunning results!
Saw your video and just bought it!
I brought my Vidal sasoon curl segret curling iron at Big W like Walmart or Target we have Target but our Australian Target does not sell it there. In Australia (sold under Vidal sasoon name by con air Australia. Its so amazing I had my hair cut and coloured at my hairdressers and curled it when I get home I did define curls. So pretty. Next time I will pin them for better hold until I've finished the curls. Much better than my manual curling iron. I got this for $102.00 on sale. A great product. I love all your curling videos.
I am eager to buy one, is it really worth it? I have bought tens of CURLERS but never happy .
Reminds me of the spin and curl kinda!? Spin and curl is a great product!
Great video! Your explanation was very informative & helpful!
If you twist the hair at the root it makes it smaller so you can put it to the chamber more successfully. This is what I have found 😉
Love your tutorials! 🎉
Conair Automatic hmm? Yeah I've been a little scared of rotating barrels as I do have a conair rotating barrel (for some odd reason I didn't ever keep the curls for very long.) But maybe this one could be a winner? . .
I feel like this transparent curl chamber is way less scary than the original curl secret where you’d have no idea what was happening with your hair and it really hurt when it got stuck
This would probably take me about an hour to do my hair. I have fine hair but a ton of it, so it takes 30-40 mins for me to curl with a regular curler. I have to do 4-5 sections instead of 2 like you usually do.
Amazing tutorial!! Thank you so much for sharing😍😍😍
This is going to be in my Xmas list ❤
I can't wait to buy this and have beautiful curls
I have been waiting for someone to do a review for this hair curler
Because my hair is bum length I will have to hold it lower
Can you compare this to the chi spin n curl?
Very pretty curls.
Ugggg my bank account is going to hate me….again 😂
Right! Ugh.
Man... I have an automatic one that I like... but this one and the options... I just might have to buy it!
Just what i was looking for. Thanks for the video . Thank you
You have gorgeous hair, with or without curls.
What size barrel is that one? Amazon shows different sized barrels.
I have the old style Curl Secret and although it does what it’s supposed to do, it’s heavy and cumbersome to use. This one seems like a marked improvement. However I have a very thick hair and it takes a lot of time and patience to use due to the limited amount of hair it’s allowed in the chamber.
I'd love this but am terrified of my hair getting caught up in the thing & rip out a chunk of hair.
It has detangle technology to prevent that from happening.
@@convideo123 Thanks, that's awesome! I'll probably check it out now.
@@convideo123what is their “detangling technology”?
It would be good for me that have thinner hair
Love this look! Did you use hair spray and a heat protectant and if so what did you use?
@Milabu Love your videos. Thank you for the amazing content. Would you consider a new video? Of all the hair tools you've tried, which are the top 5 used?
I’d try this one 👍👍
I want one!
Can you also try the cordless Tymo automated hair curler too? Can you compare both product. I really like all your video when it comes on reviewing products.😊
I am so desperate for this and the dyson air strait to hit the UK. I cannot find this conair curl secret on Amazon in my country yet
Ohhh I LOVE IT!!!!!
@Milabu what do u use as a heat protectant?
Mine would look good as long as I stay inside, once I walked outside in the Houston humidity it would become a big fizzy mess lol
Thank you ❤
you have more curl at the end of the day than Dyson or shark!
Did you use a heat protectant? If so, what's the name. You're hair looks gorgeous with the curls. 😊❤
Hi! First time "commenter"! I have nearly identical hair texture to you. What do you use for treatment after washing and before you curl? (oil, serum, heat protectant...)
I hope you get a Tymo Curlgo and can compare them for us :)
Excellent 🎉
In Canada, including tax is 150
Another company I think CHI made this exact design years ago.
BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful! But probably not for me since I’ve been keeping my hair just barely touching my shoulders. I feel this is more for longer hair.
They came out with the 1.5 inch and people said the 1.5 inch is better cause can put more strands and won’t get caught as easy. Are you able to compare this and the 1.5 inch. Thanks
Two cuties at the end 🥰
What do you recommend as a curling wand that DOES NOT tangle your hair? That is my main issue with these.
I could see me getting my hair all tangled in this. Lol. It does create beautiful, lasting curls, after you learn how to use it.
It does have detangling technology, so if the hair starts to get caught, it automatically stops to prevent it from getting stuck.
Your hair responded much better with the flexi rods. I know this Conair may be easier but it also doesn't look like the curls would last as long. I am a former hairdresser and my hair is much like yours. However, I do not think I will buy this particular item.
Have you tried the new Tymo automatic curler? Curious to know which you like more since they are the same price.
what products did you use on your hair before and after?
I love this shame we cant get it in the uk 😭
How does it compare to the brand “beachwaver” self rotating curling iron.
looks good. But not even seen the brand in sweden ever. or europe so yeah. my hair not really tangle even when not brush it for week ( have a tendensy to loose the hairbrush so can go weeks) I guess the tangel issue going to be a minium. what pain problems this looks like easier to handle then curl it myself. well well maybe they come one day here
Have you ever tried the Lange pirouettes or the beachwaver curling wands?
Did u put anything on your hair before you curl them
I like that, but it would take me forever with those small sections. 😂
How about long hair can it get stuck inside
I have rheumatoid arthritis. I think this would work for me.😊
I hope to see more videos on your other channel soon lol life😊 please would love it
I have very fine thin hair, it probably won't take me s long as you to do yours.
I wonder how these type of curlers work on very long hair?
I was thinking the same thing as mine is no less than double the length of hers. I envision many tangles and even smaller sections needed.
Your hair looks beautiful and your Curl's lasted a good long time .
Do I need to use hair spray?
Can u use this on longer hair
Can you curl without the chamber
Name of this curler with company plz
There’s no way I’m putting my hair in that I just don’t trust it. Lol.
This is without hair spray correct?
I think alternating the curl would look good, more natural
tried it and it didn’t curl my straight hair at all.
Why isn’t your hair getting tangled up in that thing?
The only thing that I don’t like is that I have to use such small sections.
It would take me hours to get through my hair
Conair has a bigger one now that takes more hair at a time. Fyi
