  • this is my DIY homebuilt inkjet printer made using an injet valve, stepper motors, rails, aluminum profile and an Arduino. Unlike standard inkjet valves, this can print using high viscosity fluids. it also has a z- axis.

    high viscosity you say... sounds like something that would be useful in 3d printing, add an extra axis and a curing light, you would be good to go.

    One might be able to dream the Day when one can make a homemade Printer (commercial grade). Without cartridges to change; just fill up with everyday ink from a large bottle. No need for subscription ink cartridges services. Or, feeling like getting ripped off for some ink.

      The valve is manufactured by a company called Neuflor International.
      Here is their website

      they make custome made valves for custom made carpet that need high viscosity inks.

    lozza1950 Hey man! I mainly use Pronterface/Printrun. gets the job done i guess. But there are other softwares including stuff like Creation Workshop which allows u to control the printer in a similar way to Printrun, and it also has many additional features like DLP printer support. You could try that!

    I am trying to build my own inkjet printer and I am wondering how do you control the printhead? Is it of the shelf solution or did you write it by yourself?

      Adeetya combe nah man you need to email the company. Its a special printhead valve and they only sell to companies unless u email them
