As you can in the video there are no hill roads till golden temple kushalnagara, from there coorg town is 30 km approx. There are no hairpins along the way.
We have not visited Coorg yet in rainy season, so cannot really comment on it. We would definitely suggest post September though, as we thoroughly enjoyed that weather in Coorg.
Hill roads are there for last 20 odd kms, but it is wide and no sharp turns so it will be fine, you can check the video from 8 min onwards for the road conditions
Kushalangar is in Coorg... the place where you went is Madikeri which is the capital of Coorg.

Roads could be a little narrow within Coorg only in few places and for a very small stretch.

it depends on your choice , but i have stayed just 50 meter near raja seat 800/- per day.
