gracias a un amigo,empeze a escuchar the gathering con este disco.me acuerdo que yo era de un pueblo vecino y cuando hiba a la casa de mi amigo tambien poniamos musica para dormir y el siempre ponia bajo este disco,super ghotico y atmosferico doom metal,lo escuchabamos mientras nos estabamos durmiendo en esos cassettes autorreverse y te entraban sus sonidos hasta la medula.a dia de hoy amo the gathering pero este disco en particular es una obra maestra
Es lo mejor q has escuchado , claro que además hay muchas mas bandas de Gothico que son brutales

Para mi el mejor àlbum junto con el icònico Mandylion, que obviamente tiene otro estilo. Este àlbum sin duda merece màs reconocimiento.

Gracias a TG se han originado grandísimas bandas. y aún tocan en salas de 1000 personas.
Quizás por como administraron sus álbumes después de 'Home' (2006) o por el fortísimo golpe tras irse Anneke en 2007 (Silje no es mala cantante, pero sus álbums con TG son MUY diferentes y cuando estás emergiendo (entonces empezaban a confederarse) es un golpe muy duro (Mira a Nightwish tras irse Anette), y entonces Anneke dirigía CASI todo de TG (el carisma, la composición, el Management...)),
y es una pena, con todas las bandas tan grandes que han originado (Epica también se basó en The Gathering), deberían tocar ya en Arenas como Nightwish o Within Temptation.
Una gran pena

I absolutely adore this mid 1990's DUTCH (i.e., Netherlands) CD/Album 'ALWAYS' by 'The GATHERING'. I love all of the songs and the growly death style vocals, and just the whole dark storybook/fairytale type vibe. Unique and Wonderful! Highly Recommended.
I only discovered this group and album couple weeks ago but I must have heard this album like fifty times already.

One of the most introspective, atmospheric sounding death/doom albums ever recorded. I love how, despite a much more aggressive sound and raw production, you can still hear some of the more ethereal, otherworldly qualities that the band would eventually delve into with the inclusion of the keyboards and clean vocals. King for a Day and Stonegarden in particular sound so majestic in how they were able to meld all these elements together.

The Dutch metal scene has always been a big contributor to the metal genre. It's ridiculous how big our small country can be, just ridiculous.
My own Dutch big four : The Gathering, Pestilence, Gorefest, Asphyx!!!! and there are many others ..Sinister, God Dethroned,Thanatos,Inhume,Orphanage, Nembrionic, and bands like Hail Of Bullets, Grand Supreme Blood Court...we love it in Slovakia

El inicio de The gathering interesante, pero cambió con Anneke, fue la época más fructífera de la banda, ganó el puesto en muchos corazones ♥️ entre mis bandas favoritas por siempre 😊
si, es que con ese vozarrón de Anneke.
De hecho, The Gathering logró algo que muy pocas bandas han hecho, revolucionar en dos subgéneros al mismo tiempo. "Always..." es todo un referente para bandas del estilo "Beauty and the Beast", y sentó las bases para grupos como Theatre of Tragedy, The Sins of Thy Beloved y Tristania. Por otro lado, su cuerpo de trabajo con Anneke cambió por completo el paradigma del subgénero del metal gótico, que pasó de estar asociado a bandas como Type O Negative, Saviour Machine y Tiamat, a la percepción que mucha gente actualmente tiene del género, que está fuertemente asociado con bandas con vocalistas mujeres como After Forever, Anabantha, Within Temptation y Lacuna Coil, por mencionar algunas.
Recuerdo en los 90 cuando escuché este álbum en el año de 1993 un parcero tenia este CD con la carátula del angel con espada, serpiente rosas y su fondo cafe es genial solo al escuchar es album vuelvo al pasado con toda su cosmogonia 42:45

В юности , в 1992 г. Этот альбом произвел колоссальное впечатление , до этого слушал thrash - death metal , doom услышал впервые на этом альбоме , был потрясен , на несколько лет залип , исключительно на doom metal
