This bad boy has been stealing our hearts since it first rolled out in 2017.
Unlike its rugged, truck-based competitors, the Ridgeline rides on a car-based platform. What's the big deal about that? Well, it means the Ridgeline offers a much more comfortable drive. Think of it as the best of both worlds: the utility of a truck with the comfort of a sedan. Perfect for those of us who want to haul stuff around but also enjoy a smooth, pleasant drive.
The Ridgeline isn't the king of off-roading. It's not going to dominate the trails like some of its more hardcore rivals. But, trims like the TrailSport do give it a decent boost in all-terrain capability. It's enough to handle some rough paths, but maybe not the wildest adventures.
Now, here's the kicker. The Ridgeline is starting to show its age. Since its debut, other midsize trucks have been redesigned or are new on the scene. Honda can't let the Ridgeline fall behind. That's why we're speculating a major revamp for 2025.
The Ridgeline shares its bones with the three-row Honda Pilot SUV, specifically the older generation. The Pilot got a fresh makeover in 2023, and its two-row sibling, the Passport, is set for a 2025 redesign. It just makes sense for Honda to give the Ridgeline the same treatment, equipping it with the latest features and tech.
If Honda does release a new Ridgeline for 2025, expect some exciting changes. Picture a beefier exterior, a snazzy new infotainment system, and an interior that aligns with Honda's latest designs. The one thing that will probably stay the same is the trusty 3.5-liter V6 engine. Honda seems to love this powertrain, and it looks like the Ridgeline will stick with it.

I'd be shocked if they have a new generation for 2025. I have not read or heard any auto journalist talk about a new Passport, Ridgeline, and the Odyssey apparently won't be coming until 2026. Acura is in the same boat, no word on a new RDX. I can only hope Honda has some new generations coming out soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
